How's my truck doing? Lol

She's still resting comfortably. Been talking with my dad about getting her back going this Spring hopefully. We just recently moved to TN, & we're about 2.5 hours from my hometown. My goal is to get it back on the road now that I'm closer & able to help. Dad was diagnosed with cancer in Oct. though, so we're trying to get him on the road to recovery right now. Long road ahead still, but things are looking up. I'll get with you when I'm ready to give my Tahoe some attention.

Looking forward to some updates on the Burb!

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!

Well I started back up on the Burb about a month ago. It's time to make some headway on it. I sent it to a local shop to have some things changed up on the rear. I didn't like the way I did a couple of things and so I had them change it up a bit. Engine, trans, and all susp is done. I need to paint my engine brackets and install them. This weekend I worked in installimg my slosh Tubz inner fenders. The install went well. I've decided to install them inside the mounting flange on the fenders so that took a little bit more time and finessing. Over all I am quite pleased with the out come. Next I need to do my brake lines and fuel lines. I hope to be building the rear floor and wheel tubs in a few weeks.... Let's see how that goes. Any ways here are a few pics.

I also did my steering linkage from the rack to the column. That took some figuring and lots of trial and error since I only wanted to 2 joints, one at the rack and one off of the column.

Re: 68 Burb... here we go!!

I purchased a hot rods wire EZ wire kit a while back. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it or not. I might order the American auto wire kit to make it a little easier. I'll also find out if I'm going to need a fuel cell or not here soon when I install the one I have and see how close it is.
Here is my wish list on this round for the truck.
-fuel cell
-wilwood 13 inch 6 piston kit
-AAW wire kit
-and I'd love to get an engine pully system in matte black.

Well sometimes I find myself busy with work and family so if I can save time by spending a little that's a lesson I'm learning.

Well I wanted to shave the humps off of the fenders so that it would look a little cleaner with the Tubz installed. They have been primed and sealed ready for paint this week.
I started working in my hood. I knew I had some rust behind that trim so today was the day I tackled it. I have a lot of grinding and finish work on that lip. What a PITA to weld on. On the lowest setting and it still sucked. Oh well. Lol

Are the new wheels for the Burb? We need some new pics. Like you I've put my build on the back burner but just knocked the dust off and started back. The only thing now is I'm going backwards, fame off time now. :metal:

I just read the entire thread also. Nice build!

I was wondering if you had any factory parts left over from the 396 that you ended up not using and wanted to get rid of?

PM me if you'd like.

Spanish Fort here.

Still collecting part for mine. I have a complete PB level 3 f/r setup in boxes as well as McGaughy drop spindles and a complete PB Accuair setup. It all looks so nice ( in their boxes ) :sexy:

At some point I'll start the installation process.
