Here are some pictures of my new toy. 1951 GMC 5 Window. She's getting a bagged s-10 frame swap. I love that patina.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Just primered my Dad's '54 today, figured you guys might dig it. MII up front with dropped spindles and cut coils, 4-linked and bagged 80's Caprice rear-end out back. 305 roller motor with a 2004R backing it up.

|
Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
I just edited my op with a pic of the dash and steering wheel (the rest of the interior isn't really photo worthy as of now, lol). I just realized I don't have any pics of the bed or engine, sorry man.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Very clean. I like the looks of the rear lights.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
bob_o your dad's truck looks great! Quick question... What is keeping the front from laying out as low as the rear? Is it bagged? Just curious,I'm thinking about using a mustang II in my future project.
|
Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
And........ I just read your post. Not bagged in the front. Sorry about that. Maybe I should try reading before typing. Lol.

Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
bob o - what ever your dad loaded into it ... it's the nads. Looks fantastic. The blue/white combo's spot on for the nose high ride. Dig it!!!
|
Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Ha! Thanks ratty! I'll tell Pops you said so :)
|
Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
bob_o: reminds me of a friends old Corn Binder tractor ... nose high all the time with a tag axle. We use to razz him about delivering to the moon!!
One of my favs. |
Re: How about some pics of bagged 47-59
Right, I'm glad it puts a smile on your face :)
Back in California in the 40's, having a Custom that was a little nose high was not unusual due to the amount of lead the guys were using to fill and smooth the rear of their cars. Fast forward to the mid to late 60's (when my Dad grew up) and having the rear of your ride a bit lower in back was just cool. Gives it a bit of attitude! Like they're ready for take-off. My slammed '62 Buick LeSabre sits the same way :D |
