Thanks! Picked the seats up and had to put one in just to check it out, :metal:.

Thanks!

The plan is to get the bed finished up and ready for the painter by the end of the weekend.

Also, I talked to a fiberglass mold maker yesterday. He's going to make a mold of my rear wheel tubs. And if things go well, I plan on having some ready for sale by the 1st of July. I initially plan on having him make 5-10 sets. Depending on the demand, I will make more.

Thanks! I hope there is a market for them, :D or else I'm going to be stuck with a bunch of fiberglass "end tables".....

As of right now, it looks like they are going to be about $500/set.

A friggin' steal for as much time as it takes to build a set of steel tubs!

Not to mention the price you pay for the steel tubs to start with. Will save a lot of work. Neat idea.

True, I used 4 tubs to make mine. That $400 if you buy them new.

Looks great! I'd be down for a set of the glass ones if they look that good :)

They look very nice Rob, a set of those would save a ton of time on a build.

Thanks Kevin! I feel like I have more time in this bed than I do the rest of the truck. ...

Maybe I missed it, but your son has to be almost 17? is he tooling around in that 5th gen 'maro I've seen hiding in a few photos? Is he still sowing interest in the truck?

I should seek out one of your other threads but since I'm here is your '68 running with the maggie? Is it the big charger 2300 or the 1900? and lastly are you using the truck accessory spacing? I know that you had used the Holley brackets, but wasn't sure what those had for spacing? I ask because a Maggie charger is the plan for my nova which currently has the truck accessories and water pump.

Don't sell this build! you guys are so close now!!!

Yes I have a 5th gen Camaro, no my son is not driving it, :D. He has 2003 Toyota Matrix beater. He has other interests besides the truck.. school, cross country running, and girls......:/. But he stays out of trouble . The truck will probably be sold to help pay for college. Jake wants to go to Stanford. If he is fortunate enough to get in, I may have to sell the burb also...:waah:.

My gold 68 had a 1900 Maggie. I used the truck spacing because that is what the 2010+ Camaros use.

I have a three year old. I guess I need to quit spending her college fund on old cars and put it in a trust!
