I know, it's confusing to me too. Thank you for keeping up with thread even after the avatar change. My phone camera would not get all the colors that the paint changes but the camera does better. Still got to get the neon green and purple, when I figure out what settings to use on the new camera.

Thanks 67, you are on top of things! I need to post some tech stuff like tire sizes again cause the first time I did I posted the wrong tire size. duh. I'll get some pics of tire clearance and stuff like that.

Yep, they both run but the red one drives! My truck is still lacking key components such as radiator, brake booster, interior, and a couple of other things. If you want to come and help me this weekend you are more than welcome too!!!

Thank you Bugeye! I am really proud to have been given the opportunity to build one of the icon trucks of America!!! They are 55 Chevy Bel Air emblems. They are the only year emblems that had the straight "C" in the script lettering that matches the old style valve covers like mine. Any other year emblems had a rounded "C". I got mine from a local shop that orders them through Danchuk.

Dude...that sounds great! This weekend is supposed to be kinda crappy weather but next weekend the weather may cooperate. Let's get this together, meet at the shop and drive to the show from there. It's close. You can see it before it hits the road.:metal:

I'll find ya ... I usually come up Telge to 2920 to get up there and I guess I can get Kev to navigate me to your shop.

And we will just be lookin ... my burb was never a show truck ... all it has ever done a car shows was turn heads sittin still in the parking areas  Or as it is slowly rumblin by.

Thou cops seems to like it ;)

Here's a pic of the rear view mirror bracket that took 5 hours of my life to sand and buff to chrome so I had to get a pic in my thread. But it was worth it since it is a 1967 Custom optional peice.
Attachment 626268

I got a little something to install today, the fit was right, so was the price so one step closer to a running truck!
Attachment 626269

Attachment 626270
Also got my power steering pump in permanently along with the hoses, it wasn't fun but came out nicely. I was able to get the headlights working and the flashers, but I need to get another wiring harness for the rear cause it has been cut on pretty bad.

Oh yeah, here is one of the rear 22X10 with 30 series tires tucked in the rear wheel well with a 70 rearend and 4.5 inch backspacing. It's close! About an inch on either side when the bags are airred out. And part of my fat head got in there too.

very nice! Love the bracket and radiator!

I understand about the polishing...spent about 4 or 5 hours myself on the shift boot ring for my blazer....a lot of work but the little details make all the difference in the end!

Very nice! I love that mirror bracket! I couldn't help but notice how slick your paint is inside the cab. The radiator is too cool too. Where did you score that? thanks for sharing new pics

Daannggg. It does look like a 1 or 2 inch chop top, but it's factory! Maybe the color or somethin makes it look that way??? Or maybe because it's just sittin lower than my nephew's truck........dunno.

Also found out why it wouldn't start with the key......bad nuetral safety switch. Gotta change that out. This is Mike doin what he does, and of course I am just standin around. Check out the bodyline on the door to fender.

Brake stand? Do ya mean the caliper and dust cover? I just have some old rotors on it now to roll it around because I am going with slotted rotors. The calipers are ready and the covers. All of it should be on there in a little while just waiting for the $$!!!!

Thanks for clarifying! And I suppose he is talkin about the Cutlass. Wellll it's a four speed so it would be "pop the clutch" The motor isn't broken in good on his car or my truck yet, sooooo, no power brakin yet!!
