Yes for sure "Already Gone"! It was so weird to take the on ramps in Edmonton. So use to anticipating the roll. I love how it feels. Have a 1" front sway bar that I will be installing in the other truck.

I don't know if you purchased the front sway bar new but there is cheaper alternative that works really well. Any 1973/1987 C30 or GMC 3500 truck has the 1 1/4 inch front sway bar. Some of the heavier GVW C20 and GMC 2500, like the camper or trailering special ones have the 1 1/4 front bar too. Get one from a wreck in a salvage yard, usually 40/60.00 and buy a new set of bushings for it and use it.

Installed 1-1/4" sway bar in the 67.

Just curious because I have a sway bar to put on; Did you put the sway bar on at ride height? How/Where did you jack it up at?

My ride height is 3" drop. Just jacked on the engine crossmember.

Cleaned and oiled the wood bed on dads longhorn. I Used motor oil in keeping with what dad did (that worked) for 38 years. Prevents rust on the metal slats too, but I do wipe off all but a thin coating. The pic is right after I put on the oil and it hasn't soaked in yet. It will help the wood survive another sunny hot summer. I just can't put the family heirloom tapestries in the back now.

:metal:Got the brakes bled out,
installed a temporary autoguage water temp guage under the hood since my sport comp crapped out( gotta get a new one).
Played with the timing and carb a bit.
Realized I don't have the tool too adjust the carb I'm just gonna make one if no one around has one.
Wedged some glass packs onto the down pipes and took a few laps around town.

Ran and rode surprisingly well even with a bed full of tires.

It really gets up and goes great with the torque of the 400ci and 456 gears.

Oh so much too do yet though but after a year of it sitting around practically immobile it's nice to be able to get in and turn the key and drive it.

I may have the most butt ugly truck around but it's all mine and fits me well;)

I drove mine into town to stretch its legs. I'm both anxious & sad at the thought of taking it off the road in order to fix it up.

Just started on my latest truck, a 73 K10 short box.
Pulled the carb from the 292/6 cyl and completly rebuilt it plus new choke pull off, reinstalled and runs just great, good start on it.

I changed out my old ate up flexplate today, and will be installing my new starter tomorrow. I also installed a Thompson's Performance "Power Blast" plate in my carb. I haven't starting up yet., so I'll comment not that later.

Got my tie rod ends and drag link broken loose, and ordered new parts to replace the old stuff. After that's installed, it's alignment time.

Pulled the steering gearbox off my 67 because it was leaking. Found out it is a mid 80's steering box casting number 7802644. I was surprised the frame isn't dimpled but has raised area for bolt holes.

THANK YOU ! .

I had no idea such a site existed .

Since my truck was built and sold in TEXAS and retains the Dealer installed rear bumper with the name engraved in it, I'd be wanting a TEXAS inspection sticker, I'll go order one up .

Redid my hood hinges and springs. And made a spring stretcher. Gave me a chance to practice with the mig welder. And it worked for putting them back on. Took some ribbing from my friend. Said that should I used a come along and a tree. Said it would've saved a lot of time. Sometimes you just can't get the redneck out of us. Hey when you're retired you got time. Hopefully anyway. At least get the bucket list truck done. LOL.
