Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
Very nice quality build. I see you just mounted the front air bags directly to the lower a arm with no cup or anything. Does this only work with the firestone bags you are using?? I have a very very similar setup with a p/c crossmember and slam ss7 bags and i have always wondered if it would be ok if the bag touched the arm from being mounted directly to the arm?? Any insight would be appreciated.

Re: dinos just a clean bagged 66 shortbed
The raised bead on the inner panels is a nice touch, and it adds a bunch of strength to the panel. Are you planning to spray them chassis black, or another color?
You know you're hosed now, right? Once you put one custom panel like that under the hood, you are now committed to having to do the entire engine compartment (including the under-side of the hood). Kinda like steel braided hose.....if you put one piece in, you have to do 'em all the same. |
