Thanks Mike, I have been trying to find a nice non pitted set for over a year. Then last month for my birthday my wife bough me a set of repops then you listed these and I'm glad I was at the right place at the right time. Just can't beat the quality of the the originals and you would never know until you compare them to some repops.

What year vehicle did the new tranny come in Shawn? Any major troubles getting it to work?

Not sure the exact vehicle but it was out of 87-92 Chevy or gmc truck. It's what they call a "K" case trans which is heavier duty than some. Pretty straightforward swap. Just had to shorten the driveline and get the tv cable set right. I can tell you it is a world of difference and soooo much fun to drive now. :)

The details are why makes it fun, plus its the details that set these trucks apart. Its also the cheaper part of the build, for me

That's just one more reason to have a patina truck :haha: You might say I'm so efficient that I don't even let overspray go to waste :lol:

Well my 40+ year old speedo cable took a dump this morning on the way to work. Luckily I was able to order one from Autozone for 10.99. Can't beat that price. Pics to follow soon :D

Original is deft better what I've had issues with so far are that my year old repop marker light bezels keep popping off when I have true 40+ year old ones still holding strong

Ok Sunday afernoon was a lot of fun. A couple buddies and I went for about a 2 1/2 hour cruise through the California Delta. Here are some pics and a video of us crossing on one of the ferries. Enjoy
