Thought I would show all of you a car that I have been helping on lately, a friends dada 56. he has had it since the early 70's, sat inside, beautiful car, has not driven it in nearly 10 years now, the suspension and brakes were sketchy. SOOOOO. I talked with them and we got the engine rebuilt, trans rebuilt, used a diff from a 70 Nova with 50ooo miles on it, a set of 18" Fooses, CPP front disc brake kit, polished booster, IDIDIT tilt column, leaf sprinp relocation kit in the rear. The paint is original and bubling, but that will get redone in the future, and th interior is awesome, right from the 70's. Clint is so happy that his car is getting done, His daughter wants to use it for her wedding car, well, she will have on heck of a ride!!! Hope you enjoy.

Nuke, now you delving into LS motors you may need to become (if not already) a member of a more LS geared forum. You may find some parts here, but LS motor swaps are failry new to our trucks. Other forums geared towards LS's will have a plethora of parts. More than you'll need. You can find anything there. So try the following forums....

**ls1tech.com
**lateral-g.net
**pro-touring.com

Already there, but thanks for the tip, and I pm'd you.

Hey, I'll get those pics for you as soon as I get a day off and can dig them out of the garage and get pics. I'll start a thread on my Chevelle on this forum in the "other" section. It's all torn apart right now getting a complete overhaul. Be on the lookout.

Well, it was originally a cop car in the 50's, then who knows what happened to it, clint took possesion of it in the 70's and has driven it since, never in winter and always sat inside, there is 2 little spots of rust on it thou. very nice car.

I am a firefighter/paramedic. But, since firefighters have so much time off with the way our schedules are designed, I work at an orthopedic surgery center part time to support my habit of cars. LOL!! :pty: As a firefighter I only work 10 days a month with a 24-hours on, 48-hours off schedule. Therefore, with the other 20 days off I can make alot of money on my parttime gig. I draw blood, start IV's, splint injuries, test lab specimens, etc at the hospital. Hey...more teaser pics just to show off. :aw: This is the firewall and cowl being shaved. That's enough pics James. Don't want to thread jack. It's just we have something in common with the Chevelles.

I've had my Chevelle since 2003 and my C10 since 2008. This is my 2nd build of the Chevelle. There was alot stuff I rushed and did on the 1st build. Also, alot of stuff I just bought and put on the car that I really didn't want on the car but was so impatient to get it on the road. So, I figured it was time to do it right and final. I'm just buying a few parts for the C10 as you can see on my build thread.

Well, I had room in the shop last night for Havoc, so I went out there and tried to get my new IDIDIT column in, yah right, that will happen when I redo the truck, wrong column got ordered, no return now, but I can still make it work, But I did decide to put my new steering wheel in the truck and do a little maintenance on it. While I was at it at about 1:30 this morning, I decided to cut up a stock 69' Z28 camaro hood for my pleasure and try it out, what do you guys think, should I do it?

maybe if you smoothed the wiper cowl...or mated it to the hood and tilted it all forward ;)

that will look swet! what i would do is find some where in the middle of the length and make sure they have the same width for the amount you need and then remove it and reweld less the few inches you dont need.

Thanks, yah, needed room on the floor, well why not hang them!!! It totally works, the little 80 was my first bike, and the 72 my grandma bought new, so I just can not let them go.

I think so, however, I think when I do it, I will just do two hoods, one as this and the other one normal.
