Ya know, it really makes me sad that Porterbuilt wasn't around back when I had money to spend on these kinds of things

Can't wait to see the stepside, I know it will look killer!

I love that truck, awesome colors, good options, great patina, great stance, and a builder with amazing attention to detail. What you did to that door is art. Did you just hammer and dolly it? What are your plans for the bed floor? Are you going to cut it?

Thank you very much..I've been working very slowly these last few months due to my work schedule but I have done a few things. I cut up a new Wilwood master cylinder and slicked-painted it, got the carpet installed, made all the A/C lines (found out that I made the opening above the inner fender 1/4 to small for the fitting, so the last hose end gets installed on the truck with the fender on.) I started making a box that goes behind the engine and sits on top of the tranny for the PCV and breather (closed valve covers so I need the ventilation) I will paint all this black so it will help hide it. I bought a four post lift this week so next on the list is to start making all the brake and fuel lines and start on the exhaust (been putting off grinding the manifolds but it needs to get done) I also bought all the fittings so I can make the heater hoses in hard line inside the truck so I can run them outside through the modified heater box I made (almost a year ago) The "dream" is to have it on the ground with the Porterbuilt rear kit installed, front sheet metal installed (for the last time) sitting on it's new wheels and tires before 2011........then again it just a dream.

Keith,

That's what I was talking about on the VC 'tubes'. I was going to try & get them higher on the VC corner to keep liquids as far away as possible & hopefully help limit warpage when welding. Did it want to warp w/them centered?

You need a pic of an 'as is' Wilwood MC so people can see how yours has been massaged.

The tubes going into the VC I built a baffle into them to limit the oil from getting into the air box. As far as them wanting to warp, my tubes are all the way to lip of the covers and only spotted at the moment. I ran the temp as low as I could on the tig and kept cooling them off with a wet rag.
