Whenever I get around to building my '63 Pro Street truck I will be narrowing a Dana 60 also. You don't see many guys run them on the street or track anymore. What size are your rear tires? Is the frame still stock width in the rear? Do you have any pics of your 4 link?

Tires are 29X18.5X15 on custom one off Chevy Truck Rally wheels I built using blanks from Speedway. Frame has not been narrowed, but notched & boxed. Couldn't find any real good pictures of 4 link hear at office. Will look later & try to find better pics.

had to add 3-4" to widen wheel tubs and trim bed. Still have plenty of room between inside tire and spring. 3-5" drop on truck as well, with 15x12 8.5" backspace on weld wheels and 29x15-15 M/T.

P.S. No narrowing of rearend at all, it is a Dana 60 w/ 4.10 posi. to answer your question.

OK guys put me in line here, I'm a fatty tire guy myself. I have a 69 short bed and I want to get a fat / wide tire under the bed and not stick out the side I no I can cut the floor a little and add 3/4" to the wheel tubs. What is the biggest tire I can run and what size rim ,how wide, and what back spacing?

You got any pics of the rear set up? You say its got air in the back? You test that at the track yet or is not a track truck?

No it's just a street truck. Not for the track. The air system is only used to raise frame off of the rear end while sitting. The c notches icould have been bigger. I am having trouble locating a recent photo of the rear end and setup. This truck has the 70 Camaro setup in the front and back using the camaro rear leaf setup. Small chevy bolt pattern too.
