Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Once again great finish Dirty, how does the sealer handle UV and weathering? Any special care for the finish? Water proof? Thanks for all your posts.
PS- is this the stuff you used? http://www.pclautomotive.com/Product...SealRTS711.pdf |
Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
This is the stuff, but i think they changed the color of the label to green.
http://www.pclautomotive.com/Product...ime_N_Seal.pdf It should hold up, it wont see to much moisture. Thanks, Jesse |
Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
You're doing a great job with the truck, I like it.
I've had that stuff on my truck for 3 years, maybe a little more. It sits outside all year through winters. It has held up ok, but has started to turn a little chalky looking. When I go to the car wash and use the wand, I can see where I sprayed it like I just painted it and tiger striped it. It hasn't got rust coming through anywhere except for where there is a hole or a crack. If you keep it indoors and hand wash it, I bet you will be happy for 5 or more years. It's supposed to be water poor or resistant, but I would think it's going to get some contamination obsorbed into it. |
Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
Picked my bumpers up from the powder coater. Their satin white, and look clean.

Re: 1963 C10 SWB Big Window Build
man, that's sweet...considering my infatuation with the surf-themed cars/trucks, i always thought it would be cool to do a bamboo bed in a 60-66...what really got me thinking was that Ratiki Suburban:
