Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Oooohhhh yyeeaahhhh........ It sure is. Love that thing! So classy. Just envision the hiways of the '50s with the modern concrete turnpikes/cloverleafs/overpasses, 2-lanes with the motels/diners/service stations, and all those '50s-prior cars. Now stick some rigs like this in there, along with the others. Man what a picture! Then picture the '60s because most of those good old trucks were still out runnin'

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Although I never drove one, I always found those Dodge trucks interesting. Really like how you can get to the engine compartment on that single axle. Although there is nothing like a tilt front end like the tandem has.

Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
The 800 swing fender has a Cat V8 and the Big Horn 950 (only 261 ever made) has a Cummins and 13 speed.

I like these trucks with production cabs same as pickups. At our Tri-State show there is a feller who brings like 8 of those. Nothing special but a wide variety of builds. One he has is a tandem jet fuel tanker with exhaust run along the front bumper. A couple other "beautiful" Dodges to look at

Special K
That first dodge truck sure looks similar to a Mack! I have never seen one like that before. Looks pretty cool. I'll have to forward it to my buddy who is into dodges. He possibly is going to trade for one like the second pic. |
Re: Trucks Are Beautiful
Does anyone know of good sites that show the old trailers when the corners were rounded and not a square brick like they are today?

I agree on the needle noses. A look that makes you stop what your doing to get all you can of it. You know one is coming at you as soon as it becomes more than a speck.
