Obviously for adjustment, but what problem did you have that made this necessary? Just curious.

No major reason other than I had it laying around, :). I do like the ability to be able to adjust the wheels in the wheel opening and the ability to change the pinion angle. Also, it will match all the other tubular stuff I installed a while back...:metal:.

is the "old" up for grabs?

I sold it about 4 months ago and the new owner has been patiently waiting for me to pull it.....

I played around with it and I'm pretty sure I'm just going to reshoot in in semi-gloss black, :D.

I was told by Comp Cams that it should not be too crazy....I'll probably stick with the 2.5" exhaust, but will still have the 3" electric cutouts, :metal:.

Is the blower and the cam swap going to drive a converter change?

Maybe next weekend or the one after. I'll text you during the week. I got the new trailing arm crossmember loosely installed. I will re-evaluate the positioning after I get everything back together and see how it sits. I need to get the high hump installed and then I'll be ready for fitting the motor and tranny....

It must be a bummer not being able to drive it huh? It will be interesting to see the difference in the performance though.

Wow, just read all 35 pages of this. Crazy. Exactly what I'd love to find/do to a truck. Your wife sure must be supportive!!! (And your wallet!)

Loving it so far, will be sure to check in in the future. (And I know who to call when I LS swap my green 67!). :)

Thanks and welcome aboard!

Some updates: Ernie helped me get my son's PB chassis back together last weekend. This weekend I started breaking down the motor for the L99 to LS3 conversion (cam/valve spring swap and AFM/VVT delete) with the help of another buddy Joe. We got the cam installed and removed the AFM lifters and installed the new LS7 lifters. I also replaced the valley cover with an LS2 style, so all of the AFM stuff is gone! Then we discovered we needed to pull the oil pan in order to install the new chain guide and finish up the cam install. So I decided I would wait on that until I got the new valve springs installed and put the heads back on. I'm waiting on a valve spring tool to finish that up. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.... Any ways, here's a few pictures of the last 2 weekends worth of work.
