Sorry to hear about your uncle. At least he's not in pain anymore. I know how hard it is to lose family to cancer. I have lost several family members that way.

Jason - Sorry for your loss. It's hard to lose someone we love and it's even harder when dealing with such loss around the holidays. Hopefully, with the love of your family and with many good memories to help you, you'll get through this. You and your family will be in our thoughts in the coming days. don

First of all, sorry for your loss Jason, I lost my father when he was a very young 51 to cancer. It is a rotten disease. Keep his memory alive and know he will always be proud of you.

It may be late to mention this or maybe you are aware but the most important is the first 20 minutes while breaking in the cam. It is important to valve train life.

They say go easy for the first 500 miles and I think if it is going to break it will with in the first 50 no matter how you drive it.

Good Luck, Have Fun and Happy Holidays

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Thanks guys. I really do appreciate the thoughts. He didn't suffer any at all. He went to sleep yesterday morning after taking some meds and Sherry said his breathing kept getting better all day. they started trying to get him up about 5:00pm to eat and he wasn't responding. they called the nurse and before they knew it he quit breathing.

I don't mean to carry on but I am really upset and need to get it out.

the family says to say THANK YOU very much.We know he ain't suffering any longer. Jason

Meant to say also, if you knew my mechanical skills,I had been having carb trouble on the 71,QJET,bought a rebuilt one.The truck hasn't run good since. I took it apart and sprayed it out good and SUPRISE IT RAN when I started the truck. I'm proud of my self for that. HAHA

Sorry to hear of your loss, I lost my mom last year to it, & 2 grandparents the year before. At least they're all in a better place. Luckily, Our Lord loves us more than we can imagine. :))

Last week I put in a new speedo cable, hurray I finally have a speedometer.

Also optimized the initial, mechanical, and vacuum advance components of the dist.

Lastly, installed two dynomax 17747 mufflers, and a stock-type black Q-jet air cleaner.

So now its quiet, powerful, and extremely fuel-efficient.

Sorry to hear of your loss too, last year my Mom left us at the start of December, just seems strange when they aren't around at Christmas now. God is good though, always has and will be.
