Wow, yes, way more work than I would want to take on. Remove 6-8" of the solid ground behind that wall and replace with pea rock for better drainage.

I wonder if those tree roots won't push the wall out again.

I wear a belt around my waist to lift these blocks and do not twist if I can help it .just now doing the foundation today and hopefully tomorrow set blocks

Lost in the 60ies ,, I will cut all roots off and there will be around 4-6 inches behind wall ..with gravel ,I agree with you

Started a new project . Needed a new shed the barn is good but everything gets filthy with pollen and dust as it’s really a hay barn the siding all has 1/2 gaps to let air circulate.

Got the floor joists done now I’ll move it to the 4x4 supports

Looks square n level to me.

I don't own a table saw and don't do much carpentry work these days anyway but I wonder if there is a jig so to speak to mount a 7" circular saw on to make long straight cuts like a table saw?

Yes, congrats on the 44 years. Not a lot of people stay together that long anymore.

Scary to think if I was still with the first one, it would be coming up on 52...damn, that makes me feel old. I like the 32 with the "right one" better.

Thanks guys. We just got back from a week long trip and turned in our rental Jeep today. We went to Mesa Verde and Four Corners where we bought new Navajo made Bands to replace the rings we can't wear anymore. We drove over 1100 miles and got an average of 34 miles per gallon.

That's what I'm talking about. And all these years I've done it the hard way I guess. I'd stake the board I wanted ripped to some saw horses and lay another one next to it then stake a guide board on top for the skillsaw. Thanks, I bookmarked Kreg.

I looked at this to on my way home from New Hampshire. Just out side Bennington Vermont . I’m going to call about it if the burban doesn’t come to fruition. This is a 92 with 50k original miles truck came out of Texas the only repaint that I could find on it was the roof . Typical that nobody waxes the roof. It’s a 4.0 4x4 with 5spd transmission

Did you end up buying the Jeep pickup or the Suburban? Both are cool.

I really dislike this one, but I really like all the funky show rods from the 60's and early 70's. Boothill express, Monkey Mobile. Plus the car I bomb around in the most is a Fiat 500 convertible. Ok maybe Im being hard on the kiddo LMAO!

Which show did you guys go to?

I've noticed that some kids gravitate more to what they can relate to. At 12, he might not be able to picture himself driving around in a full size truck, but that little car might look like fun to a 12 year old.

I used to take my Trans Am to shows and I would wonder why the younger kids would come along the side and look in the back window. I finally figured out that they were seeing if there was room for them in there, i.e. a back seat - "Dad, we could get one of these!"

Neither . The Jeep was sold before I called . The burban is still for sale but I’m not upping my offer . It’s a nice truck I would pay the price he wants if it was a 4x4

Not sure what the show was called. It was downtown Arlington with around 7 blocks and some side streets packed with cars.

Most kids (not all) have a different view on cars and trucks than way back when I was their age. Much different time today.

Started the oil pan replacement on my Tacoma . We will see how the might as well while it’s apart goes . A nice lift kit would be nice I am definitely replacing the front axles and hubs since I need to remove the axles anyway to drop the front differential. It just about ready to come out but it got too hot to keep working . Guess I should replace the serpentine belt
