Looks like you're going to have some of the same problems I did.
I had to use a swivel thermostat housing for the lower radiator hose to fit, I also should have removed the heater hose barbs and tapped the holes for pipe thread. That way you can put a 90 in. If you don't the hoses will kink and rub against the inner fender.

Also the Sanderson headers would have been a good fit if I didn't have a GTO motor/trans. They fit tight and drop toward the back, leaving more room for your steering linkage. I ended up using Hooker block huggers, they were a pain for fitting the steering.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. We have several LS based builds going in the 47 - 59 section and are figuring out the variables of what fits, doesn't fit and potential modifications needed.

Dkaufman, man that is a really clean look!

My ongoing project. 2015 lt platform 5.3 with the 6l80e. Currently waiting on the ecm to come back from flashing, its proven problematic as there are 2 sets of vats on the new ones...

Man that's awesome! I've been saying I want the new 14+ truck motors in a C10. Thing should be a monster! Who is cutting down the harness?

Re: LS swappers, post up your pics!!

we've done the harness ourselves, not too bad. One big challenge is theres no power steering pump or room for one one these, the silverados use an electric rack and pinion. I solved that with an electric pump.

Very clean! Can you tell us about the coil covers? They look like stock rocker covers modified?

Beautiful work!

Just in the mock up stage. 2004 5.3 in front of a 2005 CTSV T56. Engine and trans mounts are made, going to final weld them tonight then re-install to confirm fitment. Then the drive train comes back out to clean and paint it along with the frame. Front clip is painted to match the firewall. Still need to make the new fuel tank and plumb the fuel system, get a third pedal installed for the manual, trim down the harness, tune, etc.
