Double check and make sure you have good grounds on your taillights. It'll do crazy crap just like you described.

Found my problem up in the circuit board. Either a loose connection or a bad ground some wheres. Luckily its all coming apart soon anyhow! :chevy:

I want to but on one of them the arm that goes through the mirror is no good so the mirror turns back and forth with waaay to much ease. Can't weld it either cause its plastic on top, but I'm a find a set of mirrors that'll fit in those arms to use cause I like the big style of them. lol Rear vision ain't no issue.

Was just watching your video on the tail lights, and I don't think you have a ground problem or a loose connection. I believe the issue is not identifying which is the "crossover" wire coming from the turn signal switch. I can't advise how to find the problem, but careful study of a schematic should help track down which wire goes to what at the back of the truck.

The crossover wire is what allows one brake light to work while the blinker flashes on the opposite side. My guess is the "dead" wire you've discovered probably isn't dead, it just has to be connected correctly to make both blinkers and both turn signals work.

Back in the days before internet, or even car manuals at the local library, it took me 12 hours to figure this out when installing a junkyard turn signal setup in my 49 Plymouth coupe. I discovered and solved the problem by pure trial and error. Perhaps knowing what you're looking for will save you some grief. Good luck, Mark.
