I was getting pretty hungry and I wanted to stop for a late lunch. Monroe refused to get out of the car. I didn't get it. Maybe he didn't like the Polynesian sauce?

If you didn't like the last round of pics, you're really going to hate these... just cover your eyes, it's almost over, I promise. Monroe wanted to know if there was any cool old stuff to take pics in front of, and I just so happen to know a place!!!

So Monroe stood in front of the old girl for a few pics!

After seeing me take so many pics, Monroe wanted to take over the camera for a while and take some pics. I'll say with his stature, he gets some neat pics!

We took off from there and headed down through the huge metropolis that is downtown Greer, SC. It's honestly improved vastly over just the past couple of years. It's so great to see it being revitalized!

Did I mention it was an absolutely gorgeous day here in SC?

And, as a quick little jab before we got home, Monroe asked me if I was used to the view?

What?

Is that the view my car was used to?

Dude, WTF are you talking about?

He then told me he bet my Mustang was used to always seeing a Camaro from behind...

Little smart ass... that was a good one though!

I promise the F bomb stuff was done. I swear it was all Monroe!

We spent too much time out playing and had to rush to get the truck cleaned up, but again, Monroe was stalling, wanting to take pics before we started... (I'm seeing a pattern here...)

He then hopped up onto the step for a quick pic and then into the bed and freaked out when he almost fell through the floor... my bad... been meaning to fix that...

He was then checking out my decals and asked about all of them. This one is for the C10 club in SC. It's fairly new, but the decal looked cool, so on the truck it went.

Some friends and I started the Upstate SC Truck Club a few years ago and it's grown quite large. We just had our 3rd annual fall picnic with 70 trucks and 100 people!!! It all started when a few guys (a few from this forum too!) met up for lunch one day to get the ball rolling... and yes, I drove the Mustang to the very first meeting ever, the C10 had a dead battery and I was running late. I know our sticker guy so I had a special request for a blue 67 :)

Monroe asked me what the last sticker meant and I told him it was my favorite. It's a C10 on a trailer, and the sticker says "this vehicle is not trailered", meaning if a show is 300 miles away, she gets driven 300 miles there and back. While I have a strong appreciation for the trailer queens, I just don't have the patience to keep a vehicle that clean.

Setting up. Monroe wasn't a whole lot of help, he couldn't swing a hammer or set up a chair. Poor little guy. He tried. So I just took his pic in front of the truck.

This was the most ridiculous truck there... the custom touches were too numerous to count. Even the inside of the bed was a work of art. I was too busy drooling to remember to snap pics, so I stole these from Matt's facebook page :)

After drooling over the cool stuff we headed over to watch the autocross for a while. Monroe wanted to play with my new telephoto lens. It gets pretty cool shots. These were both pretty dang far away!

...and I missed a few pics of our ride up because they somehow got put in the wrong folder. Argh. ...and it's been more than 30 minutes so I can't go back and edit...

I let Monroe hop behind the wheel and help me drive for a bit. I was a couple hour drive.

We also spotted on of my favorite cars, a 67 firebird (with some 68 and 69 parts on it, both Camaro and Firebird)! We passed each other back and forth a few times, then the owner was behind me in line at registration.

There was some awesome cars and some really awesome GM trucks at the autocross! Monroe and I really liked the Orange C10.

Nearing the end of the day, they had two groups to get on the track, a 6PM and 7PM. Of course we got 7PM, so most people cleared out to get in line, so we went for a little ride around the infield in Matt's C10.

We saw a bunch more cool C10s, especially that first blue one! ;)
