Re: Lost My 65
As you can see, hoses are rubber and not buttoned down or routed logically.
I'm just getting everything together so I can get it mobile again. Then I'll go back and put things together nicer. |
Re: Lost My 65
Got the column mounted up.
Also cut the shaft for shortening for the power steering gear box. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...psludtkexl.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...psht92uqsf.jpg |
Re: Lost My 65
Okay, I need a little help.
I slipped on the blinker switch housing -lining it up with the tabs this blinker switch housing on. . But what keeps it from rotating? http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...psy1wvgzxd.jpg |
Re: Lost My 65
What I'm asking is how does that housing keep from turning back off? Is there something I'm missing that's supposed to keep it from coming back off?
|
Re: Lost My 65
When you screw the turn signal switch on it gets locked in place.

Re: Lost My 65
Thank you.

Re: Lost My 65
Got the shifter linkage hooked up to the column and shifted it through the gears to make sure P-R-N-D-L2-L1 lined up with the shifter lens.
All is good. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9lquqkhc.jpg |
Re: Lost My 65
Got most everything hooked back up.
Get my seats back in the cab, bleed the brakes and then hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday, I'll take it for a short test drive on the back roads. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...pszvrl1ege.jpg |
Re: Lost My 65
So close.
Gotta stop and eat a sandwich, then I figured I'd better hook up the emergency brake cables first. That's all I need to do to take it for a quick spin. On a side note ; I hooked up a vacuum gauge. I'm glad to see I'm actually getting 15 at idle. Last time I checked, I seem to remember only about 10 or 11. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...pslo59ynye.jpg |

Got the low Hump bolted in.
Then put floor pad down, then the rubber floormat. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...psuk1x7cij.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...psrtad7utf.jpg. . I'll see if I can get the hood on tomorrow. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...psbqqjrwwi.jpg |
Re: Lost My 65
Looking good man!

Re: Lost My 65
Thank you.
I'm just busting to get it all back together. I'll have a lot of misc details that I'll need to go back and button down, but that's okay, I'll take care of those things when the weather gets nice. :) |
Re: Lost My 65
You're doing a great job.. stick with it..
Show us some tire smoke.. |
Re: Lost My 65
Drove it around some.
(Sorry to disappoint you, Chris, but I won't be doing any purposeful burnouts anytime soon.) :) . So, driving it around today I notice a vibration that fades in and out. It's not a consistent vibration at a given speed. It's the worst at about 38 mph. But it's not a consistent vibration at 38 mph, but rather; it resonates in and out while driving at 38 mph. . I'm currently reading up on the issue. Threads I've considered so far: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=694626 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=522180 |
