Very nice work Alan. I always hated the sanding phase while doing body work. I guess that's why I hang out in the parts department now.

Thanks Greg!! It's not the best job in the world, but very important in the final out come ;)

Cab is pretty much all blocked. Now fix a few areas and prime again for the last time I hope. These pics were taken earlier today before I finished blocking the cab.

Re: Greg65 build thread

Started patching the bottom of the passenger door. Once I cut the inner off both corners of the door was ate half way thru. I'm very happy Greg was able to get these doors from California. They are far better than anything around here. Keep in mind while they are "rust free" means the rust is just slower to show it's head in the dryer climates. They rust from the inside out. Just FYI for those that get doors from the west coast.

After cutting the inner door bottom off I wanted to hang the door to make sure the door contour matched the cab corner. I'm glad I did because it wasn't a good fit. FYI anytime you do a patch test fit before welding solid.

NOTE: I'm having troubles uploading pics right now. I will check later and see if things have changed. This explains why, they are swapping servers.

edit 7-20-13 still can't post pics

Still can't upload pics so I linked some from my FB page.

Inside corner of the door skin.

Door skin patches

I used tabs with clekos to hold position while I tacked it in place then cut the tabs off and finished welding. I also slit some of the corners so I could blend the two panels together. The repop part was a pretty good fit just some light head scratching.

Right door progress. I finished the skin patches, the inside bottom patch and the speaker hole is done. This is the first wipe. I didn't take a pic of it sanded. oops ;)

We put those same mufflers on Korbin's 5.3 in his truck. They sound really good and not to loud.

Nice. I have them on my Silverado also. I like sound during normal driving and really like the tone under acceleration.

I had a good time talking with Alan Saturday about the progress on the cab and what is next on the list to do. This thing is looking amazing with the doors hung and the body work in right before being done. Here are a few pictures I snapped while I was there.

Thanks. Nothing special just trying to keep the body and interior as factory stock as possible.

Looks really good hope mine comes out as well as yours. Have you decided what brand of sealer you are using on rain gutter?

Saturday Alan told me what he will be using but i'm not sure which one will be used on the roof. To much information at one time. Maybe he will chime in with the product name.
