Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
There is a fabric place by the house that sells the stuff that has the thin foam already on it and it works really good. I took the old off yesterday and will recover this weekend i hope. Ill take some pics of the process for ya.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Got the headliner finished up the other night. I actually used a sander to get the old foam off by just using the edge of the paper on a DA as it spun it peeled it right off and then sanded it smoother to get the rest.
http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_151516.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_151559.jpg Material with the foam on it already. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_151609.jpg I started at one end and sprayed about a foot and half and all the way across the board and used a foam paint roller to roll it in. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_154252.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_160841.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_160910.jpg Still have to cut the holes for the visors and dome light. The Masking tape in pics above is where the grab handles were. http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_160920.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_162051.jpg http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/k...822_162110.jpg Still have to get the plastics all washed and cleaned up and painted grey to match everything but you get the idea. |
Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
nicely done.....have to do this on my oobs crew project and K5. Where did you get the material from?
|
Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
There is a place not far from the house that sells it, not sure if it is sold online or not. $15 a yard and cheap i thought.. i got 3 yards but i could have made 2 work but wanted to make sure i had enough.

Headliner looks good man. Let me know if you want to start doing that on the side too. I have people come in every now and then asking if I know someone that does headliners.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Do you have any extra interior pieces floating around. I'm in need of the piece that goes on inbetween the front and back door on both sides

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
If I were to get one this body style, I'd want to do the short bed conversion exactly like this! I see your name all over the board, but I never get to see you on my side of the board, so I guess I've been missing out on this one. Keep up the good work!
