Thanks for the speedy response and the link. Something is already there, brown wire running with the rear lites. Maybe sending unit, maybe I'll drill another hole, or try two get to wires in one grommet

Three pics up, already got something in that hole

Re: PO has me PO'd

Well, realizing that I am extremely anal, I think I will drill another hole below the existing one, rite where the 4 detents line up horizontally...Maybe GM did that for a reason

Time to go buy a stepper drill

Now to find out where it plugs into the fuse block

Or you could use one of the empty spots in the new terminal block. NAPA has the proper crimp connectors, both male and female. The wire would never be noticed.

Thanks for the idea, but my harness has the terminal ends done, just not sure of location...wonder if the wiring schematic has locations

Yeah, but it's not stock...along time ago that was my dilema, painless or stock. I choose the painful way

aren't all the kits a lot of work? I like that it's complete...so they say

a full M&H kits adds up to $600+ doesn't it?

The stock ones seem to be easier, I'm only replacing what needs to be done. Engine harness was about 100...front light harness is around 190, should be good to go after I finish them.

With the kit everything has to go, and be refitted

Got the prop valve from Inline tube, will let ya know if it is correct on Mon, mine had some rusty fluid inside, but should work if ya need it...65 for the valve from Inline

The reservoirs are not coated on the inside, but I have had good luck with their coating over the years. Don't think anything will hold up if soaked in brake fluid, but an occasional spill on it doesn't seem to affect it

Re: PO has me PO'd

FYI and way late, but the booster/mc combined are cheaper than seperately?? I bought a 3/4 ton dual diaphram booster and master {helps with the "hard" pedal most of us 4X4 guys get} for like $130 ready to bolt on at Autozone, and my NAPA price matches to Autozone, and or Checker, for a second FYI?? I hope it helps, but you already have your parts, so sorry for the day late help?! Looks good!

msgross 02-23-2009 05:48 PM

Re: PO has me PO'd

yeah, I think I paid $10 more for the booster/mc combo than the booster alone...

you are missing a brace from the left stud down to where the steering colomn plate.

Thanks guys for the FYI, I noticed that when I bought the M/C, but eventually I will be goin' 3/4 ton. I have the system in the parts pile. Soooo, with that being said, I spent 32.00 on the rebuilt M/C...kit was 20.00, Maybe tomorrow the parts from Inline Tube will be here.

Thanks 70 Suburban for the heads up, I left the nuts on the studs loose to remind me something goes there...Post #879 shows this

These posts are whats great about this board...Like working under a microscope and 60,000 people lookin' thru the view finder, and I'm the petrie dish

Got my parts from JC and Tynee, Thanks Guys your the best. Also got a great lead on seat brackets for my utility buckets, more to follow

Re: PO has me PO'd

Well, apparently my In Line Tube order has been floating around Pa. between Lewisburg and Bethlehem for a week, wrong zip code. That's fixed, s/b here fri...

Placed an order for my front headlite harness from M&H, mods to include...Hi and Low beam relays, Alt. pass. side w/ SI hook up. I have to send my engine harness back so the can add a 12 volt source to it. Asked about why they use a pink wire instead of red, it turns out that pink indicates a keyed source as opposed to red which is a constant source of 12 volts, learn something new everyday
