Nothing to see here....just another load of transporters shuttling between Chevyland’s and JoesJunk’s houses :)

Re: Vintage picture thread

Love the transport pics! These are a couple of my favorite vintage pics. I don’t know anyone in these, but you can bet they were Evel Knievel fans

Re: Vintage picture thread
Sorry to abuse the thread with more videos...but these are videos of vintage pics. Come for the hokey period salesmanship, stay for the close up pics of new Chevrolet trucks (A Super no less in the 72 video)...if not for the truck, the test at the end is pretty entertaining and probably worth staying for.

Going through albums with my my Mom and had completely forgotten that she sold fajitas out of the bed of a C10 as well as stained glass and wind chimes that she made. We would go to County Fairs and festivals all summer. I won tons of ribbons at sack races and any track and field type events. Good times

Now that's a great picture and better memories!
I have one other crappy old picture to share. I need a scanner. Might have more to show. Barely shows the truck, but another camping picture. This time at the beach. It's a '71 K/20 bed corner |

Not vintage, his grandpa bought it new. He still uses it on his ranch in Idaho. I like the dogs in the cab over box

Houston, Texas - June 1981.
My grandfather's GMC (with grandmother, aunt, little brother and me in photo). While I know he let go of the GMC around 88~90 I don't ever remember a time before that he didn't have it. While I never asked or heard, I am pretty sure he bought it new. Year of truck, unknown to me. But I remember going all over Houston and East Texas (where I grew up) in it! My grandfather, WWII vet was a waste gunner in a B17 (he lied about his age and joined up at age 16). Post war started working at Hughes Tool Crop in Houston and retired. Went to work in blue dungarees with a black lunchbox. I can still remember how it smelled and him saving his chips for me when I was down for the summer. I think he would be smiling down with me getting a Chevy C10. |

Guessing late 70’s on the grandparents farm. I “think” dad’s was a 71 and Grandpa’s C20. Miss those days, everything down to the farm is gone. Just me my sister left from that photo.
