Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
nice job on the air cleaner !!! also i dont know if you want the letters to stand out on your valve covers or not but if you do Ecklers has the scripted logos in silver for $10 that you could put on them, just an idea you might not want yours to stand out

I buffed the truck again getting it ready for it's debut at a small show right by the shop. Finally I was able to catch a good shot of the paint turning green in the right light. Still gotta clean the rims up tomorrow cause the show is Sunday and it's gonna be on a trailer so the wheels and tires are going to be closer to eye level, so they have to be gleaming! I stuck the tailgate on today and was working with the taillight trim.

Today was my first under-construction showing of my truck. A local car show that was invitation only. Some VERY high dollar show rides were in attendance. I was given the go ahead to bring mine on a trailer to show the work in progress. Within an hour and a half I was offered 28K for the truck when the interior was completed. Not bad for it's first outing!:metal:

Man, he's finally got something custom that nobody else has( the whole truck in my opinion) and he's thinking about selling? Great looking truck. Hope you get to enjoy it for at least a little while.

Got my transmission lines ran after spending about 4 hours buffing and bending and re-buffing them. I hope they work with the headers. I also got my bed aligned better and my front bumper aligned more to my liking. I still have to adjust the tailgate. The trim over the taillights is on temporarily for aligning purposes but not on the pic.

I've had only decent success with a spray clear as sometimes they yellow or make the part cloudy...
You COULD just sell it when it comes time to buff them again ;) :chevy: |

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
"Should" be fine...since it looks like they're on the frame most of the way but I guess it'll have to wait till you get them in to be sure.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Really worried about buying and then they don't fit. I'll have to see what the return policies are for em before I purchase.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
She's really lookin' good bro! I wouldn't have sold either, thats a nice offer, but enjoying all your hard work is priceless. I wish I was in Texas so i could come and see it. Keep up the good work, i hope my trucks turn out this good.

Re: 1967 C10 Custom Big Window
Just wanted to say wow. Your truck is amazing, and your work is very impressive.
I haven't been on the site in a long time because I have no idea when I will actually get a chance to work on my 69, but after seeing this thread I'm going to have to have a conversation with my wife about making it a priority. It's been in my family for about 26 years, but unfortunatley it has been in a shed at my step-dad's farm for the last 12. |

Took some time to do a couple of things to my "sancha". Made a bracket for the prop valve that came out really nice, ran lines to the master cylinder, and installed the antifreeze bottle. I should have brakes by the end of the weekend!!!!!:metal:
Attachment 644280 Picked a nice spot for the prop valve to live, the hole by the e-brake. Attachment 644281 I may have to polish these lines too. Attachment 644282 Tried to get all "technical" bending these lines , they came out alright. Attachment 644283 This is the original bottle from 67........sweet. Attachment 644284 |

Things are getting a little too shiney on the drivers side under the hood so I opted to paint all of the brake lines gloss black, that is dust on the lines in the pic. It looked pretty cool and they "hide" a little better on the frame. Wow......I need to do some touch ups in the engine bay.
