Actually it looks silver but it's got more of a dark stainless look in person...she took the finest metallic silver toner and added black...add even more black and would become like gunmetal....Over all I like it....wont see much of it..but I like it...did I already say that???..........lol............jim.........more this wkend

Thank you Jim. Did you have to weld on the Torino big bearing housing ends and get new axles? I was quoted $600 for new axles with bearings $100 for the ends and $200 to cut and weld on them on from a local guy.

Those are cool mounts, I was looking at them too for one of my projects.

Ok guys....got the drivetrain in and mostly done......and now notice that's not an ls3....after all the money I spent on the black widow clone next to it .....it was decided to run the true 10 to 1 patriot headed ram jet 355 I had on the stand....the 8-9k price difference between what I wanted and this drivetrain was the deciding factor for the time being....the plan is to eventually put the 355 in the widow and "ls" the truck..not a problem going back since I set this truck up for ls....the 355/700r combo was ran in a 55 orange 2 dr wagon on last years Power Tour...3100 miles in a week....so it's been tested........Oh yeah the intake is still at Advanced in Nashville.....yeah I've been accused of "blinging" things!.........jim

Nothing wrong with conserving a little (or a lot) of cash once in a while! And it will be nice to know you have something that is "known" dependable under the hood while you work out the inevitable other kinks that always show up initially on a build. Looking good! Still have to be some of my favorite wheels ever

Jim, Did you ever figure out the issue with the headers? I am hopefully picking mine up from the exhaust guy today. I will load some pictures of the final assembly when I get them.
