I recognize those top two trucks! Last I drove through there, he still had one siting at the end of the road for advertising.

Heh heh, I bet you do. I think one is at the place there along Bolivar Rd, but the one along 40 at Marker Rd. isn't there anymore.

Not quite new enough but still thought this might be the best place for it. Appears to be 100 per cent original. Once again only saw it the one time here in town.

Wow, pretty amazing. Great to see one survive so well.

it will buff right out!

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!

Hopefully it will buff right off, down to good original paint that actually will buff out if it's oxidized. Looks like cheap red paint on there now. I've used aircraft stripper on these trucks and the repaint came off leaving the original in tact. Tried a few applications of stripper that didn't do a thing, so I sanded and primed rather than strip.

I've looked at this truck 2 or 3 times and I'd swear its never been repainted. Arizona truck, the only thing I see odd about it is the right front hub has 10 studs instead of 5, the marker lights on the bed are even glass. Unbelievable truck.

Looks like a beauty.

The 10-Lug Wheels means a heavier Front Axle and a higher GVW.

But the other side is still 5 stud? Go figure.

I didn't pick up on that, lol.

That is strange.

That's like the GMC brochure with a yellow MH 9500 that has cast spoke on one side , Budd -stud pilot on the other side.

Dan,

Wouldn't you say that it was printed that way to show the options of both ways? (East Coast vs West Coast, lol)

This thing is in the flesh with oddball stud configuration. Quite a truck being an 80.

Maybe it's a brochure truck ha hah

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!

That's another strange thing Tim, I'm not sure if the Emblem actually is saying "60" or "80", but if it is an "80" Emblem, I believe the 80's were not available till '62.

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!

Good point. I just checked the pictures and it all makes sense now. The driver side is a 60 with 5 studs and the passenger side is an 80 with 10 stud. It must be built for brochures. Hey... I don't know. Sure is strange, though.

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!

I walked around the truck for several minutes and I'm sure the pass side badge is a 60, just deceiving in the pic. It could be they had lug nuts work loose so they were able to drive in 5 more studs for safety sake, I don't know if the extra stud holes are already drilled or not. If I ever see someone around I'll ask a few questions about the truck.

This truck was for sale in Dove creek Colo for a long time, finally disappeared, wish I would have looked at it better. I don't know if you could have got the horsey smell out of it though, they rust a lot faster too. I do like the lines of the box, would make nice little camper with a 5.9 cummins in it.

I believe you, but the pictre sure looks like an 80 on my 'puter. Must be something in the paint making it look that way. I blew it up as big as it gets and still looks like an 80

Nice horse van. They often live an easy life, for a medium duty

Proud little single axle dump

Is the vent on the fender just for the 427?

The vent means big block and the 427 has it's own emblem that extends off of that to appear as all one emblem

I have come to realize I am very interested in finding a T-series truck to own. I am now very serious about what I always thought "would be cool to have" to feeling "I just have to have" one. I want a Detroit powered one or I fill swap one in. As much as I'd love a much earlier Detroit powered truck, I feel those will be out of reach, plus a T-series from the 67-72 period would be absolutely fitting for me

Tim------Don't hold your breath looking for a T cabover. The C series Fords lasted longer.

Are there any vents available aftermarket that you know of or do I need to go junkyard diving?

Re: 67-72 C/K/T-40's-90's!

Finding a Tilt Cab with a Detroit will be rough. A very few were made '66-'67 with 4-53's. The 6V-53 was an option up to '74 in the 7500's with raised cabs, those were probably the most common. The 6V-71 was available some years too, but most of those were tandem axle auto racks. Good luck!
