If you are talking about the one in the first pics it was in the truck when I got it. It may still be around if you want it.

That's OK.... I do have a set of southern (AZ.) bedsides on the way from 70rs/ss to replace my "seen-better-days Pennsylvania ones" ..... just thought you'd still have the stepside bed/cover laying around.

As you know.... when you're in the early stage of a build like I am your ALWAYS on the "lookout" for parts or for "better" parts than the ones you have.

Not sure what you mean by Did you not see the gasser looking new body truck.... ???? do you mean the "NEW FLEETSIDE VERSION" of the "World famous '67 Drag Truck"????? (NOW....also.... [/U] known as the "Famous Pass Time '67 DragTruck"):metal:

BTW.... If all goes as planned I should be taking the cab & bed off my C10 in the next few weeks....

I did see that pic..... nice twist .... plus it runs.

Thanks for the offer DJ....I already have a new pair of rear fiberglass fenders. Have collected quite a bit of the parts I need for this build.

The picture of my C10 gasser/altered project was done in "photo shop" by Longhair (a member of this forum)

The photo used is actually a shot of Tom & his Dad's C10 when DJ bought it from them. It was the only picture I could come up with at the time. My C10 is parked in a way that I could NOT get a good side shot of it so Longhair used DJ's picture.

As planned for my C10.... the C10 in the picture has its top chopped (I'm dropping mine 5"...see the black tape line across the windshield in the picture of my C10 which marks the "chop line") .....

The rear suspension is lowered 6" but the front is higher using a "Speedway" straight front axle.

Other plans include a narrowed 9" F**d rear axle with "ladder bar" suspension - 18x33 tires on 14" wide Weld wheels.

Then to top this "nostaglia gasser " inspired drag C10 will be an "altered wheelbase" ..... the rearend will be moved at least 5" forward but the BED will remain standard length .... only change to the bed will be moving the "rear fenders" forward (look close at the picture) .... also considering an "engine setback".

Other "goodies" include a one piece fiberglass front end - push bar type rear bumper - full roll cage - aluminum floor - 383 SBC stroker engine with a CROSS RAM manifold with two Holley 4 barrel carbs sticking up thru the cowl induction hood scoop.

Obviously this is "NOT going to be your typical" C10 build."

say instead of moving the box forward why not move the wheel well opening forward leaving the box and fender the same length to keep in line with the old gasser afect. like so..
