Re: My 57 Pro Street
The header fit looks great! But the corner left by the curved notch is a bit distracting.
|
Re: My 57 Pro Street
that firewall is looking nice! and those headers... wow the coating finishes those off perfectly!
Nice progress Kim!!! |

Finally got the cowl vent welded in.
Also had a visit from the Fedex guy. 20 gallon foam filled aluminum tank with a sending unit and 2" sump. Taking the truck Tuesday to get it weighed for the DMV and then I will be able to blow it all apart to finish the frame. Kim |
Re: My 57 Pro Street

Re: My 57 Pro Street
Incredible metal work Kim, so Kustom Smooth...great fuel tank, it looks just like the one I got, works great but I had to notch the stock cross members on my '65 a ton. Probably not an issue for you from the looks of that fire wall. Great progress. Mike

Should have looked back, ya it looks like an easy fit.:canada: not much stock on this build.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
kim that looks real good, something about a smooth firewall that says ''custom''
all that frame work is hidden from the casual observer, they will see this :D go ahead and weld up the clip holes for the hood seal rubber the clips they send with the rubber are cheap and just break anyway use a good weather strip adhesive to glue it down. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1335564184 |
Re: My 57 Pro Street
Nice progress! Did you get it running? If so how did the wire harness for the engine work out.

That's a good tip on the clip holes. I think I will do that. Kim |
Re: My 57 Pro Street
I saw your A/C brackets in an earlier post. What brand did you buy and do you have a picture of them installed? I'm looking for a solution for a 5.3 L engine.
Thanks. Your project is looking great! |

Re: My 57 Pro Street
That tank looks exactly like the one I have in my truck. I also went foamed filled as well. Like to see some install pics when you get there.
Keep up the great work |
