And here I thought you just had one child, didn't know you had a daughter also. She's a cutie. I've got two girls - they made me happy when it snowed a couple weekends ago - told them I was gonna get the Blazer out and they went and got dressed and went with me to play in our pitiful snow - was a blast though it wasn't anything like the snow amounts you deal with!

Nope, I didn't get over to Mason's, bought a used 06 from a guy only 30 miles south of me in Bethel VT.

I did talk a fair bit with Mason's though, very helpful folk.


Have another announcement of sorts...selling the crawler

Want to finish up this build so I can drive it and concentrate on spending all the time I can with my kids as long as they'll have me and if it's riding dirt bikes on the trails of VT, so be it. :D

The other way to think about it is now our blazers will be more compatible. ;)

Drive em to the trail head, wheel em within reason and drive em home.

The hard core aspect is cool & all but seeing it sit way more than it's driven kills me.

Funny you say that Mike, prior to posting it up for sale I'll be installing those bedsides I got from you & changing out the front fenders....and maybe giving it some paint too.

I couldn't agree more.

Having the older ones fly the coupe makes you say...what just happened...you were just 10 years old yesterday...weren't you?

This is one of the biggest reasons my build is taking so long. But I wouldn't want it any other way.

I hear ya, got three girls myself. Twins that are 14, and another that's 10. I know what you mean about busy. I agree kids slow up a project, but wouldn't have it any other way! They call my project the MONSTER truck.

It's a shame that you're selling it. I'm sure it was a tough choice. I totally understand the part about it killing you just sitting there. I've sold a few toys for the same reason.

Naw...not a shame at all, got a lot of seat time, learned a ton and dialed in my off road skills. :metal:

This build (well, pages back anyway) will suffice just fine, it'll be a very capable wheeler and I get to drive it around dirt roads & surface streets when ever I want too.

My first interest in wheeling was more about destination trips anyway.

Ditto, so far all my rigs are stock and i'm surprised as hell what you can do with a bone stock 4x4. It's also alot of fun relying on skill rather than a built up rig to get you places. My stock 06 Jeep Unlimited has taken me all kinds of places only limited by ground clearance. I've passed many a lifted 4x4's in it and I love the looks I get.

What about parting out the big blue beast? Then you could redo the cab/bed and sell it
