A short update on the '52 3100 with a stake-bed. Currently running and driving, not on the street just around the place here. The running boards and hood are very close to paint and a few details on the interior still need attention but all in all, getting there.

Long time. I hope Tina is doing good and you are enjoying the ride. PM me when you can I would like to hear the details. Here is an update on the Heirloom 64. The frame and control arms were powder coated and the finish is great. I will probably never spend the time or money cleaning, blasting and painting a frame again. It took only a week from dropping off a dirty greasy frame to picking up a beauty plus it was half the cost. This SWB big window was originally a six with a manual 3 speed but we upgraded to a V8 and turbo 350. Also added power disc brakes and power steering. At this time all the metal work has been done on the cab and doors we just need to get the bodywork and priming done. |

Sorry that its been so long but we had a few distractions recently but now, we're back at it...
Maude is very close with only a few electrical issues and some dialing in on the mechanics and that girl will be outahere. B52 has only the bed boards to finish and she will be gone also. The bed will be quarter-sawn oak with walnut posts. Should be beautiful. Also a forester green 50 model is well underway. Chassis built, engine built and now we're into paint. Huge amount of metal work and bodywork just to get to this point but the paint laid down good so we is happy, just rolled out of the booth today. |
Re: tuba trucks
Hi Clem, as usual all looking great, love those tailgate latches.

Re: tuba trucks
Hi Clem, missed coming down with Brian and Dave to deliver the '63. I also kind of miss seeing it out my office window for the last year or more...glad it's going to be getting some new life. I should be able to get those guys together for a ride down to the toy drive. Leevon

Heading out this weekend with my brother to a big event in Kentucky. The Crown Victoria National Association Meet, first time for me but he's been going for years. Pray for us, we are driving his 55 Fairlane. I've been needing a vacation and this should be fun... |
Re: tuba trucks
Greetings Clem
As always everything is looking mighty nice a Tuba Trucks. That green on the 50 is close to what my 62 was when new. Not sure if it is the exact same shade but looks very close form here. Warming up out in my shop so things are real slow on the 62. I've done some knick knack things on the vette and on the jeep but very little on truck. Always good to see your updates. |
Re: tuba trucks
Not a lot to add Clem, but really great to see you back on here, despite life keeping you occupied.
Look forward to a closer inspection in September. |
Re: tuba trucks
Very nice work.

A big thanks goes out to all my forum buds for their support and feedback.
This is the time of year that is very important to my wife Kim and me, it's our annual Toy Drive. Each year we sponsor a Toys for Tots event to provide a Merry Christmas gift for children that would not otherwise receive one. The main attraction is a car & truck show as well as a cookout and gathering of like minded folks enjoying what there is to experience. Any of you truck folks that have followed the builds of Tuba Trucks and wish to aid in this cause, please drive your truck over to the show and join us in this event. The date this year is October 20th and all I can absolutely promise is a great meal and a warm feeling in your heart. We hope to see you here. |
Re: tuba trucks
I would love to make the trip one day.
