Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
^ That's freakin sweet! I got a set of new CUCV Dana 60 front and 14BFF rear axles and some humvee wheels with new 37x12.50 radials on them for free awhile back through an army buddy. They had ordered a bunch of new parts and these came off a downed truck but everything was still perfect!

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
lol no it was wrecked on base. The guy rolled it and it was sitting in the mechanics lot. They were going to scrap it but they let him take parts off it, he's been with the army for about 15 years.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
8'' of lift w/35'' Toyo MT's. I relocated the shackles and used 73-87 springs all the way around!

keep the axle in the orginal location in correspondence to the wheelwell? |
Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Everything works great! The axle is centered in the wheel well. I had to move the shackles back 4'' to make it work.

The old horse, like me. Still goes, slowley. Maybe if I live long enough I can get a newer one but I don't think they make them the same anymore.

Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
looks like an old armytruck ,,,, there usually verry little wear on those by the time there put up for sale
|
Re: How about some pics of your 4x4
Beleave it or not I got it new, sometime about this time of the year in 1988. It was ordered new as a dual wheel cab/chassis. Then I went to it and took it apart. At the time most said I was totally nuts to ruin a new truck. But what the hell I still have the thing. Would like to start a new project again but I don't think I have it in me anymore.

Took a lot of time, but well worth it! I showed it at a GoodGuys car show the month we finished it, then took it to Hollister Hills that same month and go to Pismo on a pretty regular basis.
