Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
It's coming along nicely. Why did you decide on Sem rattle can for the dash? I would of guessed you were gonna smooth it and shoot it.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Wow, I forgot all about this one !
I kept getting email alerts on a 93 build and was like "wtf is this all about ?" Last I remember, you were sanding on the headliner backing..... ;) |
Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
'Sup Scott, have not checked in on you in a while. So umm lets see if I got this right cclb 1 ton shortened to ccsb lowered 5/7 then swapped to a half ton ecsb frame to make a ccsb stubby bed? I like the crew cab stubby arrangement, gives me ideas... Enough bed for guns, archery equipment, deer corn, unconscious deer and later tasty beverages. Is this a 4x4? I need a hunting truck :smoke: nice to see you working again ;)

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Have you had a chance to see it next to a 99-06 1/2 ton cc shorty?

Re: My 93 CCSSB
I was going to ask where the pic is but as soon as I log in it appeared.... I checked today at work and last night on my phone and Mac and didn't see anything but a tiny box. Is this part of the new server? Pics only appear when logged in? Or have I gone nuts again?
Oh yeah it looks nice. I like it a lot! |

Re: My 93 CCSSB
Did this truck ever get finished? Love the build. Read the whole thread. Would love to see the tuck competed siting next to an nbs crew 5.5' trck as a comparison.

Re: My 93 CCSSB
The owner is a busy man ..... he is pumping out like 4 jobs a night after hours

Nice!
|
Re: My 93 CCSSB
Yeah I'm still in, good to see some progress!
Looks like you have it mostly done, just some assembly and paint? |
Re: My 93 CCSSB

Re: My 93 CCSSB
Also scored a 6.0 4l80e and harness in leaning hard in putting it in this thing ;)
|
Re: My 93 CCSSB
Your work is exceptional Scott, but I believe if it was me I'd have been looking for a burb doner with good doors and power windows early on. And as mentioned way back, it would be awsome as a 2+2 seater:) Looks great as is, tho..........................
|
Re: My 93 CCSSB
Nice progress on the crew Scott. Congrats on the new powerplant too :metal:

Re: My 93 CCSSB

Yeah that was the plan but i found parts here and there by just running across decent deals. The hard part is finding around a 94 with decent door panels. I have the power window motors and harness for the front section, still lokking for the rears though. Quote:

Re: My 93 CCSSB
Im trying to get ideas for paint.. should it go mild or wild?? Two tone, solid or solid with flames?
|
Re: My 93 CCSSB
Nice, modern solid color, with camelion (sp) flames .....
:metal: |
Re: My 93 CCSSB
I like your thinking ;)
|
Re: My 93 CCSSB
So....
How's it going? ;) The more I see your CCSSB (crew cab super short bed), the more I like it!! It seems to have perfect proportions. Guess what? I sold my square body CCLB and I'm picking up a 98 CCLB 1 ton with a 6.5TD. I think I'm going to swap it over to a short bed. |

Re: My 93 CCSSB
Hey Scott's, I know that you redid the headliner in your crew. Do you recall if the roof structure had the provision for a overhead console? I want to put one in my 99' crew.
Thanks |
