A few updates from the guys at Nsane Hot Rodz...
Radio repair "roughed" in... Looks pretty good to me! Attachment 1399978 Before and after... This is one of the things that bothered me the most about buying this truck. I was told by the P.O. member jasonvw that the dash was not cut. Well, you can see that was a lie. DeWayne has looking factory again. I think I'll try and find a factory am/fm and speaker set up to go in it. ;) Attachment 1399983 Rear window flange ready for it's patch... Attachment 1399984 Another view. Attachment 1399985 |

We left for DeWaynes shop Thursday morning, ready for a father/son road trip. It was a great trip with plenty of laughing, working, while exploring more of this great country. We met some really cool people who, without fail, wished us luck in our travels and with our build, I really do love living in the south!
Attachment 1403829 Quick stop at Summit Racing to pick up some love for Shiro. Notice where the front wheel is on the trailer? It wasn't there when we left Nsane Hot Rodz, it a considerable distance more toward the rear. As soon as we got on the interstate and approaching 65mph the trailer got what I call the death wobble, it was scary! swaying back and forth trying to spit the truck of the trailer and end everything else off the road! I don't know what were thinking, once we got it gathered up and stopped on the shoulder I could tell by looking at it that it was sitting tongue high. We reconfigured the front straps bringing the truck WAY father forward and moved some parts from the truck's bed to the back of the Burb. Much better ride from their on.;) We didn't talk much for the first 30 minutes we were back on the road... Attachment 1403830 Shiro resting peacefully in her spot. Attachment 1403831 |
