Sorry to hear about the cold. Those things can really knock the wind out of ya! Very nice to hear you got it running good and it was nothing major. Nice new wheels! Hopefully someone can put them away for you while you're out of town so no one decides to walk off with them.

Duane, glad you nailed the tune down. Gotta be fun to drive. Truck looks awesome and the DD gauges coloring is spot on with the blue. Truck envy could set in here...:)

Oh man this thing is awesome to drive!!! I have put just over 110 miles on it in the last month (not counting the week between Christmas and New Years Day). My wife even took it to work today!!! :metal:

Oh, and it's time for an update... I got my new wheels just before we left for Christmas. Ordered the tires while we were away and had them mounted the day after we got back in town. 19x8 with 245/50R19 front, 20x10 with 295/40R20 rear. And it rides much nicer than it did with the 22s. Enough talk, time for some pics!

Friend! Good day! What is the cost of the wheels? And where did you buy them?
Greetings from Argentina!

New hoops look great, Duane! I really like the way they fit the wheelwells.

Thanks! I'm thrilled that she enjoys it. Makes it easier to get away with the upgrades (sometimes, and only easier, not easy ).

Take a look at Intro Wheels.

Thanks Vic, I'm happy with them. I went smaller because I fully intend to use this as a truck, towing and all, and a 22 with 35 series tires isn't the best ride when it comes to that.

Thanks guys! It looks like a completely different truck to my wife and I. They make a world of difference in the appearance, and a drastic difference in the ride quality too.

Thanks Chris. No new shots of the engine compartment yet, nothing has changed so far. But... here's a sneak of what's coming.

Thanks Keith. I'm pretty happy with them.

So here it is installed. I like it. I have some original SBC valve covers painted the same way and some CFR Performance adapters that I had planned on running. I might still do it, but I'm not sure anymore after seeing how good these look. The coil covers were supposed to be temporary. But they look so good!!!

That looks nice. If you plan to sell the adapters later, I might be interested in them for my Camaro project.

Thanks Ryan. If you want to make me an offer, I might consider selling them. I don't know if I'll use them, but there could always be another project in my future that I could hang onto them for.

Here's another shot of the engine with the coil covers on.

I'm going to (eventually) figure out an intake cover for it. For now though, I think it'll stay like it is. oh, and when it warms up a bit, the intake tube will be all black. No more polished pieces.

Those turned out really nice! I always thought a body colored mid-70s trans am shaker scoop would make a good intake cover

Sorry for the late reply Duane. I'm not going to make LST this year. Too many prior commitments. I will be at C/10s in the park. Hope to see you there :metal:

No worries Mike. I'm registered and have my room reserved for C/10s in the park. Barring any big changes, I'll see you there!

Re: Knomadd '71 SWB C-10

Okay, time for some minor updates... well 2 updates anyway.

I had a compressor quit working on me a little while back, so I had to get it out and replace it. Out with the old and in with the new
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...0_15_22_30.jpg

And I finally painted the intake tube black.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...0_13_49_59.jpg

Still working out ideas for the intake cover...

Hope I never have to replace a compressor... have to remove the bed to get to them. Engine bay looks great. Interested to see what you come up with on the intake cover.

I know you're going to Lone Star, but have you given any thought to the LMC C10 dealio up at TMS in Fort Worth the first of May?

Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. Vic, I hadn't heard of the LMC C10 show before now. I'll have to look into it.

Your truck is looking stellar! How long did you get out of your compressor? I know my 480 doesn't like the cold weather. Anything under 25* and it really sounds odd. I hope it keeps working for a while.
