Did you set them up yourself in the cluster or preinstalled? Looking real nice. The Mar-K trim looks real good, I might have to run over there one of these days.

The gauges are Autometer ProComps. They do come with sensors. I had to buy a couple of adapters, but nothing expensive (see pictures below). I bought all the gauges and boardmember Putter installed them in the bezel (here's a link to the writeup:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=188607

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=110613 ).

Mar-K makes high quality parts. I have purchased many from them and toured their shop. It's a first notch operation! OK, now for some progress. I had my glass guys install the rear hatch glass and the 2 side glasses. They will be back next week to put the front windshield in. I call them my "glass guys" because I won't let anyone else touch my projects,. They've been doing glass for me for about 15 years. They're car guys and the truly enjoy working on older vehicles (they've been in business for 42 years!). Here's some pictures of the glass and a couple of pictures of my solution to putting the temperature sender in the passengers side head. It's a 1/8 npt to 12mm 1.5 bushing. It beats drilling and retapping the head and it's not as bulky as the adapters most people use.

Thanks. I'm thinking about getting one of these dash pads since I need to add some more gauges for the supercharger. Any thoughts? I know it reduces the "stock" look, but it would make adding the gauges so much easier. Also, I know I need a boost gauge, but I have two other holes to fill, any suggestions?

Those gauges look awesome! I know that you had that done a few years back, but you have a ballpark cost on just the gauges? Looks like a bunch of $$$.

+1 on the Mar-K stuff. I have used their stuff in the past with good results.

I think that will be the easiest way to add the gauges since everything else is already painted.

I just had it taped on to check the fit. I won't put the trim on until all of the body panels are on and aligned.

I got the gauges from Summit. I think the total was around $550-$600. Here's some more pictures of the front brake lines going to the master cylinder, the Flaming River tilt column, the CPP steering shaft setup and my custom made glove box emblem, :metal:.

Rob, I have a few questions. Hope you can share some of your wisdom.
You are using the ECE motor mounts correct? I am starting to install a LS2 in my 72 GMC truck. I also have the ECE mounts. What headers would you recommend, the Thorleys? I will be using a 200 4R trans, which is still in the truck. My LS2 is like a 01 or 02, and I would like to use the mechanical fan that's on it. I wonder if I can use it with the stock radiator? Why did you go electric, radiator to fan spacing?

I really like the Thorleys. If you look at my 67 Crewcab thread you can see where I used the mechanical fan with the 5.3 it put in it. You can use the factory radiator, but you'll have to figure out the hoses to make it work. Several people have done it on t his board. Here's a good thread to check out:

i like that. where did you get the sending unit? will it work with stock GM gauges? i like to tap mine into the plug on the intake by the water neck. i seen it on a factory impala so i stole that idea.

That didn't include the cost of the bezel or having it assembled, just the gauges. I didn't make the emblem, I had a boardmember MrGoodplierss make it for me.

Thanks. The sending unit came with the gauges and the bushing came from Dakota Digital. I'm not sure if it will work with the stock gauges.

I like to put a Trans. Temp sender in the line with one of these... http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-2287/

That way you don't have to unhook it everytime you change the filter and fluid.

Re: 1969 SuperBurb build-up (Bagged and Blown!)

Your engine should look like that after 20k also. Without the exhaust crossover and hot intake baking the oil. Mine looked pretty clean when I had it open at 20K. Does your shifter get into all gears and also is the column adapter made by Lokar or your custom design?

Totally agree. Shifter goes into all gears. I will still need to do some fine tuning after I put everything together to stay. Are you talking about the shifter arm bolted to the bottom of the column? If so, that's the Flaming river builds their columns.

Painted one of the valve covers red (not sure if I like it yet).
Mounted the fuse for the air bag compressor.
And I finally started on the wiring......... what a mess....:D.
