My new 85 gmc crewcab longbox with a chevy tailgate.

Have an option of taking a larger steel stepup rear bumper with some surface rust on it. Would have to remove the rust and then paint it or have it powder coated. What would you do? Keep the chrome with the black stripe or switch to a stepup. If switch, would you paint or powder coat?

Lots of Canuck trucks lately ..... neat.

I like the single wheel crew Winks2 ... leave the chrome bumper remove the rubber strip.

It is decided then. The chrome stays. Besides, Project Destiny looks good with its ghostly subdued matching gray and white color scheme.

Yep and it's called a sleeper.
I've seen one that the owner put a door in the floor of it with a storage box under it to hold a few dozen cans of his favorite soda.

:dohh: I didn't look carefully enough at Project Destiny's fifth page. You are right, and great as she looked in white and grey, she is even better in chrome :)

Wincks2 ....... that "sleeper" is like a coffen ....Not much room & if your a bit fobik your in trouble. The axcess door from inside is a bit small too. So us + sized guys might be stretched out in the rear seat!!!

I bought the crew cab to tour around while pulling our trailer. Plan to replace the front bucket seats with a bench. Sitting in the cab today I realized there isn't going to be much room for the kids books, drawing pads, pillows, cold drinks etc. Saw the sleeper thing in the earlier post and thought if it could be accessed via the rear window, it may be an excellent storage space for the stuff while leaving the cab comfy.

Just googled pickup truck sleepers. Cool.

I suppose it is illegal to sleep in them while moving.
