Yes there was plenty of dust from that. Two big dust pans full. But it is worth the efforts. If I need to defrost a 12v heater like you said :smoke:

Well I have been plugging away at my cab the past week there was a number of places I was not satisfied with so more grinding and welding and filler work. Sunday I was able to finally shoot the interior color and also used the excess paint I had left to shoot a nice build coat on the firewall and cowl area. I have just a bit of tiuchup work on the outside sheetmetal and then I can tape it out and shoot color on the outer cab.

Cab is moving right along and the color looks great. I'm working the same areas on mine now trying to get color sprayed this month...probably won't happen.

Thank you, I hope many can get ideas and knowledge from this build thread as I gained many ideas and knowledge from the other builds on here. It has been a long and challenging road but I do not feel there is any better truck than one you have built with your own hands. The only thing to date I did not build myself has been the upholstery and if I had a sewing machine I would have tried it also. :lol:

I worked right next door to your cabinet shop today. I didn't realize it until I was leaving. I did the heating and air on y'alls shop years ago when it was built. That place has been many things. I wished I'd caught that was your shop. I would've stuck my head in. I need to come by some time.

Sweet, where were you at the noodle plant ? Yes it has been many things, we have been there about 5 years now, we actually purchased the building. Stopp by sometime and I wil show you around. ;)

Stinky place to the right. I think now the place in there does work for spectrum. We do right much work for the folks that own the properties. They used to do a lot of commercial work but that pretty much dried up. Now we do pretty much service work and change outs.

Taped it out and laid some color this morning, overall it is looking good.

Who ever said restoration is easy ? But it sure is rewarding when you can say your hands and sweat built this machine.

I wasn't real pleased with the drip rails the way they looked so smoothed them out a bit this morning and got it reprimed. I love the smell of fresh bondo and primer. :mm:

Blah blah blah :smoke: Haha, I have never redone anything, I even fixed that spot on the bottom and back of the cab that you won't see when it is installed :mm:
I wondered what happened to you, have to finish the exhaust pipe then the cab can go on. :chevy:

Was able to get the last color coat on the cab today and the inside of the fenders all colored along with the cowl panel. Ready to Scotch it all and lay the sayin clear on it. :mm:

I am trying to, work has busted wide open, but my goal is to get as far as I can before I am told I got to go. :lol: I am sure things will slow down when I am able to get to the wiring part, I have a lot of studying to do for this test. :smoke:

Time to head out to the shop, hoping for a productive day and to get all the cab and front fenders clear coated and ready to bolt onto the frame. Still a small list of things to do on the chassis before I am ready to bolt the cab down though so will also be trying to tackle those in between coats drying. :chevy:

great hanging out today man. Truck looks incredible. you have really put a ton of work into it and it shows. gonna be a real neck turner and traffic stopper when you get it on the road. better invest in some red velvet ropes to put up around it when u park it.

No I haven't had to move yet, they have yet to set a closing date. Commercial property can sometimes take a good while to work out the logistics on. So until I am told I have to vacate I will continue to plug away and get as much as possible done. :chevy:

Wrapped the headers today and the pipes back to the mufflers. Not to bad for the first time. Thanks to Robert (cknfrmr) for all the help today definitely not a single person job.

Heck I always come out ahead with the knowledge I get. And this time a little itchy. Ha Ha Ha. Also have so much fun and get to see that truck. I don't see how anyone could get the wrap real tight by themselves either. The last pic is where Larry caught me admiring/day dreaming of his truck going down the road and me following behind when we get em done. Thanks again for the parts hook up.
