Those wheels are awesome. I've always liked the Salt Flat style and I really like these.

I like the wheels. Not sure about the gray in the pockets. The color there would depend on what your paint colors are going to be.

The colors will be retro....rendering come soon !

and the start of some boxing plates , all the front frame horns will be boxed and smoothed, the boxing plates will come back far enough to tie the front end nicely to the rear rails

Just one question,...
Your original plan was to cut off the bottom part of the frame.
Aren't these new rails in the exact location as the bottom of the old rails?
I guess you will be lowering the body mounts now?

i said " correct" but that isnt what i meant , no these rails arent in the same place , hence the raising or Zing of the front horns, but yes the body mounts will have to be moved also ! This body style K5 frame is a nightmare ! This has been quite a learning experience for me and i am sure i will learn alot more before i get it done !

LOL.....i dont even know, this frame is so stinking confusing i can even talk logically about it !

LOL...lets just say i know when i am in over my head and the compound angles on the front rails were too much for me ! they narrow and widen on each side of the crossmember, it is crazy !

Yeah---that worked out pretty slick! If I'm seeing it correctly, you're matching the bottom of the new rail to the bottom of the front clip, and pie-cutting the top to meet up with your new rails. You automatically get about a 2" semi-Z. Semi, because the top is z'd but the bottom isn't. The top of the new rail is lower, where the body sits, and that's all that matters (assuming you have an ingenious core support lowering idea!)

And the tie-in of the two looks slicker than pig snot!

What style mirror do you think you will run? I have a billet shop programming some round mirrors in the Muroc 4 style. I paid quite a bit for the CNC programming sooooo it would be cool for someone else to benefit from it. :)

Yeah, that pinch in the frame would be challenging to cut and keep from pulling while welding.

I'm loving the progress man! :metal:

Mike i have seen the Muroc III in person recently, we put a staggared set of 18/20 on a chevelle. its a timeless classic, clean design. Budnik is a great billet choice..I dig the design and fits your truck style perfect GREAT CHOICE!!!! I have a pic of the chevelle somewhere ill try to find it and send it to you.

these get my vote 100%
