So, no love on the wing idea huh? well I guess I will just use it for a rear filler panels. I started by adding an extension to the rear lip of the fender, was able to get 2 from 1 trailer fender. The sheet steal was bent at a local shop. I will also redo the tail lights using 3 per side, 2 for tail and stop and 1 per side for reverse lights. Still a bit of test fitting and adjustments to be made. A WING....REALLY?

what is the name for great things that get better? well this is it. hey quick question, what are these rims again? wheel vintique's or us rim? I'm brewing in my head putting my 63' on a Silverado for a daily year round truck. want to keep it looking proper with the rim and tire selection.

side note, sup with the cagarettes, natty ice, eggs and a diet coke!!!

Loadmaster, Those three tail lights on each side of your bed are just beggin for a sequential turn signal indicator. I wired a system on my son in laws 52 F1. Worked out great. Just thought you might like to know. Great work keep on keepin on. NC

Hey 99, they are Wheel Vintiques 8 X 16 with 4"BS. I did need to file on the front calipers just a bit for clearance and cut the taper deeper for the larger lug nuts. The late model Silverado uses 14mm studs and the wheels are drilled for 1/2 inch. Interesting idea on the tail lights Nut Case, I'll give that some thought.

Man, that's lookin good Rob. Those finishing touches really make a difference. I'm gonna have to do a wheel well of some sort just to keep road grime at a minimum under there myself.

So I'm working on the tail lights. I will be running 3 lights per side. Which way would you go, reverse light in the center or to the inside? These are standard trailer lights I picked up from a local truck stop. Simple, cheap and effective.

Reverse lights to the inside. Don't particularly like having the reverse lights mixed in with stop/turn lights. Just a thought! As an added note...really like what you've done with this build. I always thought the COEs were the neatest trucks. Not sure why I haven't gotten around to building one!

I finished the tail panels for the most part. It gives the truck a bit more of a finished look at the rear. I still need to build some filler panels for the area in front of the rear tires and I may do some type of a rear bumper below the rear panel. Strength is not the issue as there is a bit of steel behind the rear panel, if I do the bumper it will just be for looks or a step style bumper.

What is that in the background of the 1st pic?!? Do you have a tree stump made up to look like a turkey or peacock? Awesome!

That would be a peacock made from an old propane tank for the body, a curled Toyota gas tank for a neck, hub cap face and a bunch of old golf clubs for a tail. It's mounted on an old tree stump. It was a gift for the wife when I had no COE to work on.

47 Fast this project has killer personality, creatively uzzing muscule, and tude. Do you have past livily stories, cause I can see some high schoolers delivery hot tubs and get in some rear trouble. Any way you are having fun and living the life, don't ever stop. Thanks Nut Case
