I am using a 88-91 Burb/K5 radiator support so I just used the tabs on the intercooler and drilled some holes for a couple bolts.

I am using the same core support as you but where my tabs on the intercooler were it was going to be a very tight fit to put a bolt in there and have it so that you wouldnt have to pull a head light every time you needed to pull the intercooler.

This is how I went about bolting the intercooler in. Just made a bracket and welded a nut behind it so I wouldnt have to hold the nut.

Sense I cut out the main supports I also needed to replace them so I went and picked up some 1"x2"x 11 ga to build new supports.

I have not welded the supports in yet, but in this picture you can see the intercooler and radiator all bolted up and see where I plan on putting the supports.

Still plugging away on this thing slowly. Been trying to get all my school stuff figured out, and doing what I can while I have no money

Got the kingpin stuff in finally and started putting the axles together, also got the ujoints in the axle changed, that was not cheap... Still have some stuff to paint before it goes back together all the way but it should be a roller soon.

It's looking good... I'm at the point where any forward progress is a good day.

That is the same here, but school is going to be starting in I guess 14 days now and that is going to cut down on shop time and time to make money by quite a bit and I still have some important stuff to buy.

Looking good man. Once you get school out of the way and get a good job the truck project will be a lot easier to fund. I knew how you could get it done way fast but your dam boat had a huge hole in it.

Re: 85 GMC Sierra Classic 1 Ton Crew Cab

I have a feeling if this truck isn't running before school is out it may set for a while. I have a feeling I'll have to buy a reliable truck after I get a job so I'll probably look into a 3rd gen cr. and then that will probably end up in IA getting modified haha. Yeah that boat sure didn't help out with money...

Well this weekend I got quite a bit done with the truck with the help of Dieselwrencher. Ryan brought me down some more parts for the truck and also came down to pick up a new project of his that i traded him for parts. The engine transmission and transfer case is hopefully in for the last time.

I'll have to come back up so I can mess with the tractor some, and at least my shop didn't burn down! I'm never going to hear the end about you meeting my family....

Well I think if I came out that way I would probably leave my truck there till it was riding on bags.

Re: 85 GMC Sierra Classic 1 Ton Crew Cab

Well have not done much to the truck lately but started back on it some. Had to get the shop all cleaned up so that has taken a while.

I ordered all new brake lines for the truck. And also got everything else to finish plumbing the fuel system on it.
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...ps032ab4f2.jpg

Also bought a dimondeye down pipe for a 2nd gen dodge and thought it would fit good but I have a different exhaust manifold than a dodge truck and so the turbo is mounted back and down more and so the down pipe has to be modified.
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...pse1046c66.jpg

Should get the brake lines ran, get the exhaust mostly figured out and mount the fuel lines to the frame and then I should be able to drop the cab back on this bad boy.

Re: 85 GMC Sierra Classic 1 Ton Crew Cab

Yes that is a storm block. And I know. I may paint those black before the cab goes on. Had to trade Ryan bell housings cause mine didn't have any alignment pins.
