If you dont want to mount them it is ok I know of a certain guy with a truck on jack stands that would be interested in breaking them in for you for a few weeks till his wheels decide to show up.....

This thing is looking good! I will say this truck and what you have gotten done on it give me motivation to get busy on mine!

Thanks a lot! I hope I can contribute even a fraction of the information and motivation I have gleaned from this forum. On that note, I'm gonna post my reply to your PM here, for everyone to see:

What was your back spacing?

Do you have the narrow or wider rear? and is your front end stock 67-70? Whose drop spindles?

Thanks alot man, your truck is sweet :metal:

Front is 73-87, with Belltech 3" drop spindles and springs, but any drop spindles 63-87 (excepting CPP modulars) will yield the same front track width. Rear is a wide late-70, which is the same width as 71-up, that I swapped 5-lug axles into.

My current wheels are 7 and 8 inch rallies. The new setup is 20x8.5 w/5.25BS front and 20x10 w/5.5BS rear. I used these exact measurements on my 2wd Blazer with great success, as have many others here. If using a 63 to early-70 narrow rear, change the rear backspacing to 5" and it will be perfect. Tires, FYI, are 255/40-20 and 295/40-20 -- 28 and 29 inches tall, respectively, with decent sidewall height and just a little bit of 'rubber rake'.

These specs are good assuming a 'mild' suspension drop, up to and including bags in the stock positions. Anything past that and it gets more complicated...

Thanks for the compliment :chevy:

Ok- here's a few pics to satiate you guys for the evening :smoke: They mounted up with no real problems; I did have to 'flatten' front hub dustcaps a touch and re-adjust the panhard bar for clearance out back. The fit is spot-on. Didn't get to drive it, as it's raining- and movie night :chevy:

So is the 5.5" BS on the rear wheels good?
Or would you change that,... if it was possible?
(as in ordering billet wheels to the exact specs)
