Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
Hey guys!
I spent the last two weekends sanding & rubbing this thing! What a huge amount of work!!! I started off wet-sanding with #1500 grit and did a combo of wet-sanding by hand and using a D-A with #3000 grit. The pictures don't really give any justice to how nice it really looks. I am thoroughly pleased!!! 3M makes some nice products, but you get what you pay for... Here's a few pics. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...673/iEKciG.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...673/d618Qw.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...911/waMAvp.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...538/oarEI1.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...661/BQ0Cbi.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...661/urx9TN.jpg I still need to rub the hood & front fender extensions, but I am getting there!!! |

Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
Well guys,
I received my seat yesterday, and of course, needed to install it immediately to see how it looked! It looks sooooo nice considering that all of this was done long-distance, with not much contact!!!! I am truly appreciative of Clem's efforts to make this a monumental milestone! Hats-off to Clem & Scottybob for making this happen!!!! I really think that the seat makes the entire interior POP! http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...537/3SLmpO.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...537/hW7I0i.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...537/PsMzMz.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/102...661/wYMUow.jpg |

Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
Can't come up with anything that would be even close to cooler than that dude. It's perfect. Toss that baggie on the air-ride dealio and let's roll!!
|
Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
I would feel self conscious putting my butt on that...puts my seat to shame.
(almost) LoL  Please tell me you are going to make it down to Clems this year (not necessiarily in the truck) ..... |

Great thanks for all of your efforts on MY seat! Everyone that looks at it asks me where I bought it...LOL! It is soooo comfy too!..I made an excellent choice to pick you to help me out with this. Again, many thanks! Quote:
I kept the baggy on it while there was no carpet, and it was getting thrown every which-way!...Baggy is now in the trash! Quote:
I am going thru some personal issues right now, but the way that the truck ran today on it's maiden voyage, makes me say that I could probably drive it anywhere!...but I only put 40 miles on it....LOL! |

This is outstanding. Not just the how, but the what........ I think you could build a truck around just having that seat. It just shows again, there is a place for true craftsmanship. Well done all. |
Re: My Unexpected '66 SWB-Fleet-Restomod Project!
Top Quality All The WAY
