I just install the 3rd set of door seals and I am still not happy. I have used LMC and Classic Parts, (580) 439-5565 were crap. This time I used super soft seal, OEM, they said! Now they are saying you must adjust the door properly! If I let the door out any farther they will be out beyond the body!
How come nothing ever fits!

Working on rehabbing a mid-70s front crossmember I picked up for cheap. I unbolted the leftover frame pieces, scrubbed it a little and inspected the discs.....new brake pads to boot. Getting ready for p/s and disc brakes

It is Hot Rod Flatz Red and it does give a satin finish...good eye!! You can wash and wax just like reg. base/clear. The white top is PPG base/clear...very shiny. My friends 66 next to it has same except Hot Rod Flatz Black and Metalic Blue trim.

Thanks Dean!!!! I really don't have alot of money in this truck...It's just nailing the correct things like wheels and tires and stance and colors etc. Take your time and think things through and your truck will turn out great I'm sure!!

Since dumping the big block plans and starting on the inline 6 w/turbo, I went and retrieved a 250 from a '66 a friend had, was overall pretty good, BUT had already been bored .060", so not much I can do with it-looking for another block or complete engine(250 or 292) ordered my lump kit, cam and intake from Autowerks. Talked to Tom , the owner there-real nice guy and alot of info on inline 6's. Also have the turbo exhaust manifold ordered from SPA. Found a complete turbo package on Evil bay with intercooler for around $700.
Last Sunday, got the driver's side quarter panel patches in place and ready to weld. Along ways to go, but finally making some progress.

Went for a little drive this afternoon. Actually met with Todd Harvey while I was out, a former NHL'er, he scored a very respectable 91 goals, and 223 points in 671 career NHL games, he is a Cambridge boy. I am coaching a travel hockey team, and he runs a hockey skills training center. Long story short... think that was my last spin around the neighborhood for this year... time to get to work, time to start a thread!

Very early cars had a sacrificial panel behind front tires and it ran to rear of car. It deflected rocks kicked up by the tires. Originally called rock deflector panels and later on called rock panel....then switched to Rocker Panel :mm:

Good question! Good answer! If you don't know now you know! Lol! The rockers ain't that bad in taking of and replacing I thought it was going to harder. The hard is looking for all the spot welds.

Sweet 383. How much lead are you going to hide under the truck bed so you can keep your tires hooked to the pavement?

GMR-PERFORMANCE 10-04-2012 11:29 AM

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

With sticky tires these trucks will hook up very hard, with nothing more than some soft rear shocks..
