Billy got new cab mounts today. Did the radiator support mounts when I replaced that. Not much space in the garage I’m renting. Good thing I’m skinny.

Started to pull the powerslide out of the old 67 for a 200-4R.
Curiously GM put 4 bolts on the crossmember with the top ones interesting to access. Once the new transmission is in place I can begin the joyful task of fabricating a geometry correction device for the equally Old 4G carb. |

Actually did some of this stuff on my vacation in late Dec. New tilt steering column and steering wheel happened this weekend. Cut a coil or so off the front and back springs to get a lowered look (I know its not right but funds are low right now so it will do for now). Repainted the front grill and cleaned it up a bit a few weeks back as well. I must say for me and my truck its a love and hate relationship. I change/fix one thing and then something else breaks and pi**es me off. Currently cant drive truck cause I dont have brake lights. That's another post. LOL.
Before is top picture and after is the bottom. :) Mike |

Bought this to flip to help pay for fixing up my truck. Also stripped the dash pad to recover. Got some of the blood part of the sweat and tears.
Dash pad is a pain in the backside to remove. :) |

i want to give props to chevy72blu for coming up with an under the bench seat woofer box. i "borrowed" his idea.....ok ok ok, i stole it. i just hate thief's...
tried my hand at carpentry the last couple of days and built a box. it fits perfect. i did however cut a few of the angled springs so they would not hit the box. it made the front of the seat higher and stiff. I'm going to cut out a few "springs" today to lower the front....i still have the original wheel (pretty tight between the seat and wheel and thats with no cushion on right now). second pic shows how i folded up the angled springs to clear the box third pic shows what i did to attach the springs to the seat frame. this is were i'll cut out a couple "S-springs" to lower the front and still keep the seat stiff enough not to sit on the sub. i will say i will be the only one driving this guy, the seat adjuster is now OOS. 67' c10 "Ted" |

I love this thread btw. It's the best place to find folks with active builds!
I tack welded the bolts on my headers for the LS swap. I hate trying to use 2 wrenches to tighten up an exhaust pipe...now I have studs! |
