THANK YOU ! (note clever use of CHEVROLET BLUE THERE) .

@ $250 it'll have to wait until I find an honest and competent paint shop for my body off re spray job (hint !) but I do think this will be just the thing .

While I wait for the gas tank to come home from the "hot tank", I decided to the hand-me-down radio/cd player into the center console. It was fun.

The radio cost me $10 because I wanted to give the grandkids something when they laid it out to sell at a garage sale. They said "Ten Bucks!" I said, "Sold!"

So, in she went today with a couple of okay speakers behind the seats. I also have a satellite radio that I moved from the used-once-in-a-while motor home.
The radio, an older Pioneer, doesn't have an aux input. So, I wired up the satellite FM antenna to an antenna lead to the radio...Actually, I twisted them together
and taped them.

Solid sound. Total cost, about forty-three bucks for everything (I had the sat radio, but I got it "free" from Sirius. There's no free lunch, of course).

That was fun.

Next step, back under the truck to set up wiring for the electric fuel pump. But that's for another day.

I was able to shoot the epoxy on it and topcoat some of the hard to reach under dash areas..

Good times!

Yeah i figured due to the epoxy primer, I would have to scuff up areas before topcoat & the areas under the dash would be a pain... so I just went a head and shot some paint on them in the "topcoat" window of the epoxy...

On the cab, its a nice cab for the $100 I spent on it... but don't let the photos fool you, it has it problem areas, but nothing that cant be fixed :metal:

I got tired of looking at the two holes where the shoulder strap bolts should be, so I came up with a cheap fix. Went to NAPA and got two of these LED push in lamps. They are about the size of a quarter. Wired them up to the dome light harness down near the floor. Since I did not want to harm the threads in the cab, I just used black RTV to "glue" them in place. Tried them out in the shop with the lights out and they are pretty bright, kind of a bluish/white light. They are "Peterson Utility Light #V171C".
