They are about the size of a quarter. Wired them up to the dome light harness down near the floor. Since I did not want to harm the threads in the cab, I just used black RTV to "glue" them in place. Tried them out in the shop with the lights out and they are pretty bright, kind of a bluish/white light. They are "Peterson Utility Light #V171C".

Post some pictures with them on!

Bought a period correct bench seat a while back, so today a friend was generous and sand blasted the mounting brackets for primer and paint. Yesterday I fixed the electric choke issue it was having, and fine tuned the idle. It was a joy to drive it today..

Drove it from South Central L.A. out to Lancaster and had breakfast with the V.J.L.A. then drove it to Pasadena via The Angles Forest and Crest Highways , I've been tweaking the tire pressures and it's hugging the asphalt like no old truck should ~ my brother was riding shotgun and looked a little green around the gills so I slowed down after a bit ~ if the tires don't squeak , I couldn't possibly be going too fast , right ? .

I only used one quart of oil too =8-) .

Loaded up some brake tools in Pasadena and drove it to South Central , the West L.A. where I bled the brakes out on my old 1980 Caddy S & S Victoria Hearse ~ it stops great now but appears to need front calipers .

I drove down to Myrtle Beach in mine and entered the car show. Been having a blast talking to everyone. Meet several board members and talked to several new people that I hope will be joining up here soon. I invited invited them to our National truck Meet and Greet on June 8 in Mooresville SC.
Here is a link for pictures.

Yesterday I said hi to my truck when I was over at the garage putting new lights and sideboards on a small utility trailer.

Tomorrow I am going to straigten out my garage and see if I can find all the parts I need to put tail lights on the '67 swb stepper.

Retired the new, but suspect, mech. fuel pump.

Installed the block off plate and electric fuel pump while I wait for the gas tank to come back.

A little wiring inside the cab tomorrow, a precautionary fourth blow-out of the lines, and I'll be ready for clean gas to the carb.

Not much, Gave her a bath, adjusted the idle from 1050ish to 850ish, replaced a couple burned out bulbs for turn signal and license plate light.

tomorrow pulling off cluster and looking for problems with dash lights. Probably painting cluster at same time like above

took a little drive to check tire pressures and a fill-up ($66 ouch!) - then I removed a mystery toggle switch that was bugging me and it's useless wiring under the hood. I also moved some good wiring into some black wire loom to pretty things up..

Installed the A/C part of the Painless harness. Removed the windshield wiper motor so I can replace it tomorrow. Replaced the small vacuum hoses under the hood along with the hoses under the dash that they attach to. Removed the cheap radio that didn't fit the dash holes correctly. Need to find one that fits. Anyone have any ideas?

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

A few weeks ago, I pulled the 12 bolt out of my K10 with the intent of cleaning it up, painting it, and installing my 3.73 posi carrier and gears......And then the "might as well"s took over. The brakes were completely trashed, so I figured I might as well swap to rear disks, Found a relatively inexpensive way to do it, but I had to drill out the rotors and axles for different wheel studs. I've always hated the short 7/16" stock wheel studs so I figured I might as well upgrade to bigger 14mm studs. Finally got the caliper brackets welded on today, but now I need to put the truck on the back burner for a little bit so I can swap the motor and tranny in my 64 Nova.
