Tell me what yall think......This is the new gauge bezel for the RideTec Air gauges and switches. It will be mounted between the dash and new console right under the heater/def control panel. Should I leave it brushed aluminum (as is) or paint it Orange?

Paint to match...I think it would better blend into the interior! :metal::metal::metal:

Where did you get the stainless cup holder inserts?

I found those at a Marine/Boat Store......They come in plastic or stainless. not bad, stainless for $10 each.

No question about it. Brushed aluminum.

I'd vote for one change though:

Turn the gauges and switches "the other-side-up" so you won't wreck that truck or your neck as you drive while standing on your head.

;)

LOL, yeah I noticed that after posting it. Will flip it around in my photoshop.

I have a complete Ridetech Air suspension setup. the gauges and electric switches originally come in a stainless steel square plate.....Took up a little room and didnt fit anywhere on my truck without look out of place. So thought, what the heck, I have a drimmel tool, a pair of snips and a bender, I will make a new one to add a custom touch and make the gauge assembly look like it belonged here.

Okay. My take on design is that contrast is important. But that's just me.

I agree with magwakeenercrew2jh, contrast is important. In this case, I thought paint this particular piece to avoid having too many contrasts. With the paint of the interior and the chrome cupholders I thought it would be better to have the brushed material painted to match to avoid adding another element. It's one of those "personal taste" issues.

With that said, I do really like your truck, so you have shown you have some really good ideas, Magwakeenercrew2jh!

Well here it is.....I set the brushed aluminum in lastnight and didnt really like how it looked. So after several hours of rewiring the switches and air lines (making them longer) got it painted and mounted.....Now I like it a lot better

I'd say you got it just right. Sometimes, you have to try a couple of angles. This was one of those times.
It works very well in orange. Classy.

Thanks Mag....not sure why in the picture the orange on the console looks lighter, but its actually a dead on color match.

I love how the snow in the bed makes it look like you took the cab off and turned it around backwards. Besides isnt this Iowa, who cares what the neighbors think....lol I say light-em up, burn em loud, and let it roar!!

I cut my turn downs off , tired of the dust , could decide how to run the exhaust so no pipes past the mufflers for now . Dropped truck off at detail shop , stop at parts store to get air fresher and temp gauge pegs out and steam is coming from under hood . Somehow fan for electric fans got turned off while truck was getting detailed . Pop hood and no alternator belt. So I had to buy belt antifreeze etc . I shouldve left truck in garage !!!!!

Do a 6" turndown right before the rear axle......nice hidden exhaust with a great rumble.

Bought and installed a new battery from Manny, Moe and Jack. 650CCA.
Expensive, though. Forget the name of it. The Optima was $204. I think the new one was $92...

I kept the old one that's in the pic for a bench-tester. But, both the new one and the old one had so
much stuff written on them, I decided to do something pretty silly under the hood instead of doing yard-work.

I covered the top with some stuff I used on an amp face, and cut the places out for the terminals and for
the battery "juice" check.

Guess I had nothing else "better" to do today.
