Re: my 64
hey, you can't bugger around with their broom handles. How are they going to be able to fly if you shorten up their handle. your supposed to have your own handle (left over from all those stripped out shop brooms).

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
can someone help me identify what is wrong with this stupid ferd
heres a video it sounds like a diesel not sure what it is it is coming from the passenger side |
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
I'm no Ford man but it sounds like a broke valve spring or maybe a bent valve
|
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
thats what my dad said its not a broke spring because i took the VC off and looked it over keep the answers coming please
|
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
what about rocker adjustment?
is that adjustable on that motor? |
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
it sounds like the noise is at valve train speed, have you checked the compression ?? is the engine high mile ? I would assume that it has a bad hydraulic tappet or a broken part in the valve train
|
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
nope no adjustment or lifters its SOHC so maybe a bent valve
|
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
If it wasnt a broke spring, then its a bent valve.

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
if you cant figure it out, get really good at welding and cut 2 motors in half and weld it up. Use some 4043 and tig it.
|
Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
i hope so
so your sure its not a rod or wrist pin i really hope its a bent valve that would be so much cheaper to fix |
