Re: Let's post 60-66 SUBURBAN Only Pictures
K14burb, thank you for:
1. A great looking Suburban that is being used as a Suburban should! 2. Adding some new photos to this thread, it's been a little lonely in here lately Which lake/reservoir is this in NV? |

Thanks Southcity, that's Lake Mead around the corner from Hoover Dam.
Here's an older crappy pic when it had the 37's and I actually had to use 4WD. https://photos.smugmug.com/My-First-...cFN9s5c-X2.jpg |

Re: Let's post 60-66 SUBURBAN Only Pictures
Found the site late last night so I will post up a little more information now.
Its a 1964 GMC Suburban with the V6 305 in it. It has approximately 16,000 miles on it. It was owned by a fire department that was nearby and driven by the Chief as his vehicle. My dad bought it from the fire department and has been storing it since before I was born (I am 37 now). We have almost all the parts for it. Once we get it back together my dad plans to use it as a daily driver and to pull my boat. The plan for now is to leave it as original as possible other than all the work we are going to have to do on the interior. I am going to start looking for that cap soon ;) |

Still a work in progress. Next steps are anti-wrap bars (getting a little axle wrap under hard acceleration), headliner, carpet in the front, finish the sound system, and finally, upgrade the T-case to an NP205.

Here is a picture of the bed wood, I used Trex composite decking. I used the "fascia board" size, instead of the deck boards. The fascia board is 7.25" wide and about 5/8" thick.

Speaking of under the hood, please share more pics when possible including some under the hood shots. I have always wanted a 4x4 Burb and your Burb has set the bar very high!

Very sweet. I wonder if my 2008 Suburban now on its second engine will be appreciated in 40 years.
