Why the change to the long nose water pump?

Looks like great progress.

Rock Auto rocks.

LMC has the brackets, don't they? I know I don't have any extras.

I changed my water pump cause it was to far from the rad. I had a new long nose so I changed it out. Now I am good to go. And thanks for the imformation.

Well, I am doing a lot better. My shoulder is healing on it's own. So, today I installed the drivers and pass side fenders and both inter fenders. Thoes clips that hold the inter fender to the outside fender what a chore. went to Ace hardware and bought enough for the fenders and when I got home I had some 1/4 inch and some 5/16 I guess someone through them in the wrong bin. It did not make a good day. But, I guess the end results is what's important anyway.

Tomorrow I will be re-installing the drive shaft. I hope to get my fan and should on to.
Then maybe I should work on the bed get it together. Trying to get all my body parts back on the truck. When my Brothther-In-Law come down he want have too much to do except the fine tuning on the body work.

Went by your build and the fender is in sad shape. But I know that you can make it look good. I install the bed today except for the wood. Got to paint the truck in a few weeks. Then the fun starts. (wiring)

Today, I finshed bolting down the front inter fender on the pass side. I re-installed the drive shaft. and mounted the bed. except for the wood. Going to paint the truck when my Brother-In-Law does the fine tuning. I think I will go ahead and paint the inside of the truck. So I can start with the sound mat and the wiring and putting the inside of the trck back together. Kubota orange. I have 5 quarts to do the job.

Guys it is starting tlook like atruck again. I can't wait till I put on some color. I am tired of looking at primer.
After I finshed with the bed I went to work on the front panel for the bed. I wire wheeled and sanded and primed the front panel.

Yea, and my body is feeling it now. At 63 and a lot of water has run under this bridge. Just want to drive it without something shaking or making some kind of noise. But thanks for watching.

I have done no work on the bed, except for small dents about the size of a dime. There is some small holes on the front panel and the drivers side rear fender under the tire rack.

I don't know as of now. Still looking at some of the builds and getting ideas. I don't know but I do know that I do not want too big of a tire.

Well, today I just couldn't get into the truck. I guess I am tired and need a break. I did adjust the tail gate now it raises and lowers with ease.I need to order a set of chains for the gate. I think I will go with stanless maybe chrome. They say chrome will get you home.

Next I installed the front bed panel on the bed. I am not satified with the bolts I used. It was all I had on hand. I am going to get some button heads for the inside of the bed. But, that will be after I have painted the bed.

Re: 1968

I have a question? Is there anything that goes under the bed rails? I just don't remember. The mind is the first to go. Between the rails and the supports for the bed.
I looked in several mag. They do not show anything. Again it looks like there should be at least a spacer or something. To bring up the two front and the two back bed rails so the center will be level with the other four. Not counting for the 1/4 inch pads. I know that they go there.

Re: 1968

Had to back track a little today. I pulled the front clip off the truck. 6 bolts to remove the front clip. I needed to do some more adjusting on the pass door. It had too large of a gap on the rear of the door. My neghbor came over and seen the gap and asked me if I was going to leave it like that? I told him that was all I could take out. It always good to have fresh mind to look at a problem. So now I have the right gap at the door. I am really satified with the results.

After I finshed with the pass door. I cut the bottom 4 inched off te drivers side bed fender. It looked like someone shot it with a shotgun. At least two dozen rust holes. I made a repair panel for the fender. Tomorrow I will weld it back on the truck.

There was a few holes in the front bed panel. I bondoed them up. Sometimes I amase myself. It came out real nice. There were three holes on each side. Like something was against it and rubbed holes in it. anyway it's gone.
